First Midnight (COMPLETED)

I woke up with Gabriel beside me. If my dad knows this we're doomed. Sakto naman ang pagtunog ng phone ko.

"H-hello, dad!" Pasigaw na sambit ko. Malalim ang paghinga ko na parang kakahabol lang sakin ng Isang kabayo.

"Alam ko kung bakit ka kinakabahan…" masusing sambit ni daddy kaya napahinga ako ng malalim. "I know what happened, Hershey."

"Daddy."

"Umuwi na kayo bukas."

Napahinga ako ng malalim bago niya parating ang tawag. Mabuti nalang semestral break namin kaya pwede akong umuwi. Nakita ko ang pagtingin sa akin ni Gabriel. We're doomed.

"Hershey, I know it's not the right time and I know this isn't romantic as I planned." He said. He bent one knee and showed a ring on a box. "Will you marry me?"

"Y-yes!"

Niyakap niya ako ng mahigpit. This is really happening. The best thing that happened to me. He's the best thing that has ever happened to me and I know I won't let him go. And I will never let him go again.

Even if it's over my dreams.

"I love you so much, Hershey." Bulong niya sa akin. I love him more so much, I knew it since then and I know I won't let him go ever again.

Umuwi kami gaya ng gusto ni daddy at agad dna minadali ang kasal. Parehas sila ni tito na minamadali ang kasal dahil sa nangyari. Gusto ko sana after na nung first year ko. I still want to finish law.

Napangiti lang ako sa mga sinasabi ni daddy. He's waiting for me to get married. He's been waiting since then. Sabi niya gusto niya ibigay niya ako sa mapagkakatiwalaan niya.

And I am marrying the guy he trusted for almost 3 years.

"Ano iniisip mo?" Tanong ni Gabriel at niyakap ang likod ko. Hinagod niya ang tiyan ko at binigyan ng halik ang leeg ko. "Hmmm?"

"It's just… I can't believe nandito na tayo ngayon." Hinarap ko siya. "Tapos ko na law school, CEO ka na and published author, we're having a child."

Napangiti lang ang lalaki at hinalikan ako.

"I love you, okay." Hinalikan naman ako sa noo. I have a perfect family… and it feels so complete.

I am a midnight rain but I know to myself that, we both stayed the same and we also change like midnight rain. And I know remember the first midnight I met the guy I will marry.

I was drunk but I can still remember how he kiss me. How he kiss me so deeply. The midnight I don't want to change.

"I love you, Hershey. Since the first midnight we spent together." Gabriel said and gave me a kiss.

"I love you more, Gabriel. Since the first time I saw you walked on the aisle with your god damn confidence."
