LATER THAT DAY, Amelia got a text from Kie
Kiara (message): Hey, it's me, Kie. Thank you for helping with John B. We were wondering if you wanted to hang out with us today.'
Amelia (message): 'I'm down to hang out and don't worry about it, it was nothing."
Before changing into denim shorts with a lilac cami top with sneakers and a black bikini underneath. Amelia heard Rafe's voice as she walked downstairs to leave the house.
"Where are you going?" He asked as Amelia turned around
"To hang out with Kie", she answered, knowing she'd never hear the end of it if he knew she would hang out with the Pogues.
"Yeah, right", he scoffed in disbelief, knowing full well she wasn't just going to hang with Kie.
"Whatever, bye," Amelia said before leaving the house.
WHEN THE GIRLS pulled up to the chateau, they heard voices coming from the backyard.
"Look, I'm callin' it off. All right? " John B stated as the girls sat next to each other, "Peterkin said if I stay out of the marsh, she'll help me with DCS" He continued.
"And you believe her?" JJ asked in disbelief
"Yes, I believe her, JJ" John B replied
"An actual cop, John B. You believed a cop," JJ repeated in disbelief
"Look. All I gotta do is stay out of the marsh for a marsh for a couple of days, and she'll help me out," John B defended. Amelia sighed
"And it doesn't help that your ass was the one shooting the gun", John b spat in annoyance.
"You know what I should've done, man? Just let Topper drown your ass"
"JJ!" Kiara and Amelia said in unison.
"Oh yeah, 'cause he was gonna drown me?" John B mocked, his tone dripping with sarcasm.
"Sure looked like it", JJ said in retaliation "Amelia had to do CPR on your ass", He continued.
"Funny", John b said with a humourless chuckle.
"I mean, have you looked in a mirror? JJ asked
"Tell me some more. Come on," John B said sarcastically.
"They always win, don't they, man?" JJ scoffed "Kook versus Pogues, they always, always win!" JJ said in anger
"It's okay!" Kiara said, trying to calm him down
"No, it's not okay!" JJ shouted, "It's not! They don't want us to go down into the marsh. That means that there's something valuable down there, and you know it!" JJ said to Kiara before turning his head to point at John b as he rolled his eyes
"I know you do", JJ said in a low tone "And I understand why you don't want to go," JJ said as he looked at Pope "You're the golden boy, you got way too much to risk"
"And you two-" JJ said as he turned to Kie and Amelia "are already rich as fuck anyways" Finally, he turned to John b
"But you and me, man, we got nothing to lose. We don't, alright?" JJ stated
"JJ-" John be started
