After coming home from school and finding the dead bodies of her parents, Dalia Reynolds world came crashing down. Her and her sister, Drea, are forced to move in with their aunt and her family in a different state. The weird things is, Dalia and he...
Just like that, two months went by. Roman and I decided to keep our relationship on the low, which I didn't mind, but there were times where I really wanted to embrace him in public.
Today was the day that every were girl was excited for...the Ball. It was the place where unmated were girls would find their mate. I obviously had to go since they didn't know my mate is a vampire.

(Dalia's dress)
Drea was curling my hair and talking to me about her and Stella. They had already "mated" I guess. Some things shouldn't be told out loud....
After finishing up my hair and makeup, Drea helped me get into my dress. The theme for this years ball was "Goddess of the night." After struggling to get into my dress after fifteen minutes, I was finally zipped up and tired.
"Oh how beautiful!"
I turned around to see my aunt Marsha and Cadence in my room. Cadee was in a white gown that had pearls on the waist. Her hair was straight and fell nicely on her back, her makeup was glammed up. I can see why she's a model. She looked perfect.
My aunt Marsha looked at my sister and I and started crying.
"I'm pretty sure your parents would've loved to see the both of you off to the ball. Your uncle sends his wishes and apologies for not being home in time." She said.
"That's nothing new." Cadence scoffed.
"Cadee, please." Marsha warned her.
Cadee rolled her eyes and started walking away.
"I'll be in the limo." She said as she walked away.
"You have to forgive her. Talking about her father is a bitter subject. As you can see, Darius is a busy man which is why he's rarely ever home. But he really does love her and of course the both of you." She said.
Aunt Marsha walked us out and we were on our way to the ball.
We, of course, had to pick up Amani, Karma, Ryan, Riley and my lovely asshole of a cousin, Dominick, on our way to the ball.
The ride there was pretty noisy, I couldn't even think because of how loud it is. They were talking about who would wear the same dress, who would find their mate, who would embarrass themselves and blah blah blah.
I miss Roman..
This ball was solely created for the supernaturals to mingle amongst each other. Of course, the vampires weren't invited, which isn't fair.
After about twenty more minutes, we finally reached the location of the ball. It was an elegant, castle like building that was over a hill. It overlooked the city. Which looked breathtaking in the night. It looked romantic. I frowned at the thought of not being able to see this view with Roman.
