I decided to dress basic for the party; I wore black shorts with an oversized long sleeved shirt and my white hightop vans with white crew socks. I decided to keep my makeup simple; mascara, eyeliner, foundation, and my favorite fenty lipgloss. I decided to keep my natural curls in a high ponytail. I finished off my look with small hoops and looked at myself in the mirror....oh well, it's not like I'm going there to impress anyone anyways. As I walked out of my room and down the stares, I noticed a new girl was there. She looked blasian. When she saw me coming down the stairs, she smiled.
"Hi, I'm Amani and you are?" she asked with a hand extended.
I looked at it then back at her.
"Dalia." I say then shake her hand.
She smiled more once I told her my name.
"Nice to meet you Dalia. Do you go by anything else? I go by Mani." She says.
"Dali or Lia." I say.
She nods. Before she could say anything, I heard voices coming down the stairs. I turn around to see the girls from earlier coming down but I spot another new girl, a blonde. Her blue eyes were piercing through mine when she met my gaze.
"Let's do a quick introduction so my cousins can be familiar with you guys." Cadence says.
"My name is Stella, but you can call me Stells." The short Latina said.
"Karma. Call me Kay." The blonde says as she walks to Amani.
"Riley but you can call me Ri." The ginger says.
"Amani but you can call me Mani." Mani said to my sister.
"Perfect! We gotta go! I'm trying to find my mate tonight!" Stella says.
Drea and I look at each other confused. Mate?
"Yeah we should go. Ryan is getting impatient." Cadee says.
"Better not make them boys wait." Amani says as she wrapped her arm around Karma's waist.
We all walk out of the house and into our separate cars.
The car ride wasn't as awkward as I thought it would be, even though I didn't say a word. Drea fit right in with them. That's one thing I was always jealous of...being extrovert. I was never much of a talker. Wasn't the popular type like Drea. Back home she had all the friends, went to all the parties, had all the guys in love with her, was the captain of the cheerleading team and even was the teachers pet for ALL of her teachers. Then there's me, the introvert who likes to stay home and watch anime.
After about 35 minutes of driving, we finally reached our destination.
"Is everything big in Westchester?" I said as I stared at the gigantic beach house in awe.
Cadence looked at me and chuckled.
"Well for the most part. Westchester is known to be a town for the rich. When I get a chance I'll for sure give the both of you a tour. You guys will love it here!" She said with a smile.
I nodded then looked at Drea who was now gaping at the enormous house in front of us.
"They don't have these type of houses where we come from." Drea said.
"Texas doesn't have mansions?" Riley asked.
"They do, just not the town we lived in. I guess you can say we were considered middle class. Dali and I shared a room." Drea said.
"Oh my God that is soooo sad! I could never imagine me sharing a room with my sisters." Riley said in disgust.
Dre and I looked at each other and rolled our eyes.
