[Bianka's POV]

It didn't take long to get back to the castle since Shinkyo wasn't far from the capital of Wansai.

As we reached the palace, we went straight to bed.

From next few days, it was just too busy in the palace.

Everyone was preparing for our wedding which was in a few days. The empress was still angry that we didn't really follow their ritual of not seeing each other until the marriage. I was supposed to stay in the previous room I was given but I was staying with Arashi in his wings.

Well, I wanted to follow it but Arashi opposed it immediately.

Since I was pregnant, he didn't take any chance even if it meant to call off the official wedding.

The empress displayed her dissatisfaction and didn't participated in the arrangement of the wedding while others who didn't want the wedding to happen had to participate because of the emperor.

No one can oppose to the emperor, of course, apart from the empress.

But I noticed no one knew that I was pregnant. Not even the emperor and the empress. Only the Kuro soldiers, Rei and Arashi. And of course, Rose. But I hadn't seen her after the Lord Gokudo's incident. There was no sign of Prince Daichi either.

Where were they?

For the next few days, things were getting hectic as Rei and many of their cousin sisters would take me for the bridal dresses trial, the ornament collection and to rub my skin off so I could look pretty at my wedding. Various skin care routines were added along with different dresses which made me almost exhausted.

I had no knowledge that getting married was this hectic.

However, only the two maids and Rei were allowed to take care of me in bathing and in everything. Since Arashi had strictly prohibited any kind of information about the pregnancy come out to the surface, Rei made sure that to act on that.

The two maids were Calla and Kora who were assigned by Arashi, even they made sure the other maids didn't get any inkling of it.

They would be by my side all the time when Arashi wasn't with me. Each and every food would be checked or made by them and even my clothes, ornaments and everything was handled by them.

And after each corners, I could feel gazes on me.

They were all Arashi's men. Be it Hiroshi, Koji or Takashi, they had scattered many of their men around the whole palace to keep an eye on me.

Up until now, I had never felt that much restricted before. It was exceeding the restrictions I had in my father's abode. But strangely, I wasn't mad or offended by it since I knew it was because both of our child and my protection.

I wasn't allowed to go outside the boundaries of the palace and inside, I was only allowed to go to the emperor's quarters, where Rei stayed. I wasn't allowed to go outside of the palace building without two guards and two maids who would always stood around me in a protective circle. It was honestly very annoying as whenever I wanted to do something, they would stop me!

Even if I wanted to have some snacks with Rei, they would immediately change my snacks and would give me only vegetables or, some healthy food! No spicy, no extra meals and no nothing!

They even restricted my sweet intake...!

And Arashi had given Calla and Kora some medicines which I had to take in every few hours. He said it was for better nutrition and blood.

Like I had no blood!

I let out a frustrated sigh...

I muttered as I , "If I had known that getting pregnant means everything would be restricted, I wouldn't get pregnant!"

Rei chuckled beside me as she was feeding Noya from her breasts. He had fallen asleep after playing for a long time.

She said, "Brother Rian is just a worrywart... But his worry is justified since many in the palace wants you dead. And if they know you are pregnant then..."

I asked, "But why? What would they gain by our deaths?"

I wasn't even a princess nor I had any powerful father worth fighting for power or, any kind of political influencing background. I had none of those. I was indeed their enemy's daughter but I hoped they never find out about that. Wait! Did they find about it?

Kora said, "Pardon me, my princesses, if this lowly servant can speak in your presence, may I?"

I said, "Kora, I told both of you that you don't have to be so formal about it... You can speak your mind."

Rei shrugged. "Only get formal when others are present. I don't think my brother would be angry at that either..."

I knew Arashi wouldn't but both Calla and Kora would never do that. They just respected Arashi and everyone who were close to him that I had never heard them using informal language.

She said, "It doesn't matter if your highness is from a noble background or not. People not always need legitimate reason for wanting to kill someone. It could be that they want Prince Rian to be in despire always or it could be someone would want to eliminate him from getting the throne. Or, it could be because they fear him."

I said, "He doesn't even want the throne..."

Calla said matter-of-factly, "They still would feel wary of him since Prince Rian has the strongest army in the whole Wansai."

Kora nodded. "And it is enough reason to make sure he suffers."

Rei said, "That's how it has always been in nobility or where there is a fight for power..."

I looked at a distance and thought of everything they said. It was true that they don't need any reason...

Which was why I wasn't careless. Now I had another life in me so, if I got careless, I would end up harming our child.

I let out a sigh and started to munch on the healthy snacks, various fruits Kora had prepared.

Just how many days I have to live on only vegetables and fruits!
