I could feel my body throbbing as I slowly came back into consciousness, my eyes felt like they were trying to weigh themselves down as if I hadn't slept at all. Yet I still forced my eyes open after waking up enough to remember where I was. Sighing I sat up straight, disappointed that I hadn't woken up back at my new house. A quick glance around the room told me the monster wasn't present, but who could say when it would be back. I tried messing with the front of my cage for a while, but there definitely wasn't any way to open the door from the inside. I would just have to play the waiting game for the monster to come back. I felt my throat sticking to itself and glanced down at the square water bowl. I scowled trying to not dignify it with much thought, I wasn't THAT thirsty. The strange green bar still sat next to the water dish as well, it must have been meant as food, but it definitely didn't look like it. In fact it looked about as appetizing as a block of grass, actually it might have literally been a block of grass. My stomach growled at me, but there was no way I was eating something that looked like lawn decor.
My attention was brought to the doorway as it slid open, it was back. Wait…"they" were back? There hadn't been two before, but it made sense, of course there wouldn't just be one. That made escaping slightly more stressful though. It also made me wonder how many more there could possibly be, I gulped inspecting both of the monsters. The only difference between them seemed to be their size and maybe a slight color difference. The taller one seemed to be the monster from before, at least the new one wasn't any bigger than the first, maybe even a foot shorter. I watched intently as the taller of the pair approached a box with a pair of rabbits inside. Its tentacles slid over the box and popped it open just as they had done with mine the day before. Another arm shot towards the pair quickly disabling them from trying to escape. I bit my lip knowing that they would most likely move quickly with me as well, but running was my only option. Though failing could also mean death and that didn't sound that fun either. The first rabbit seemed to have stopped moving from it being held too tightly, but this didn't phase the Alien as it stabbed it with a thin syringe full of blue liquid. I felt sick as I saw the liquid slowly drain into the rabbit. That shit better not get anywhere near me.
Both monsters continued this with multiple other animals, and unsurprisingly they eventually got closer to me with time. I watched the blue liquid drain into a small doe in the box above mine as she tried kicking, though it seemed pointless as it's legs were completely bound by the leathery tentacles. My heart was pounding, it was going to be my chance any time now and I would only have one try. I stopped breathing as the box above mine was closed and moved to the side. The pop of my box's door coming off rang in my ears before I bolted. The monster's tentacle hit the back of my box as if it hadn't expected me to move. I was lucky it was the new shorter monster and not the first one. From what I saw the first one definitely would have stopped me before I could get out.
I could hear one of the monsters making noises as I ran, but I didn't dare look back to check. I heard them both making groaning like sounds as I rushed through the open room door. My heart pounded, having no idea where I was supposed to be running as I turned multiple corners hoping to find an exit. Unfortunately hope proved not to be enough as I kept running. I skidded to a stop quickly as I almost ran into a window, it looked to be night outside. No... it wasn't just night, in fact it almost looked like I was in space itself as there were unfamiliar planets and objects, that definitely shouldn't be that big if I was seeing them from earth's surface. Not to mention they didn't look like any of the planets I knew. My head ached trying to process what I was seeing, if I was really in space were these aliens? It would make sense, but there was a more important issue in front of me.
Where was I supposed to run to if I was in the middle of space, and stuck on a most likely moving ship?
I felt angry tears start to form in my eyes but I choked them back, only just noticing the company in the room. My eyes widened as I noticed the 3rd Alien standing up from its chair at what looked like a control station. It started approaching me as I tried to backtrack and run, only managing to trip over my own feet. I felt the hard metal floor slam into my face as I fell and tried to quickly orient myself and stand back up. My lip felt like it had busted but I kept moving. Only to feel something wrap around my neck lifting me off of the floor. I started to choke, unable to breathe as the tentacle restricted my breathing pipe and roughly scratched the soft skin on my neck. I tried using my fingers to pry off the aliens tentacle off of my neck to no avail. My kicks became weaker as it refused to let go of me.
