Dark and Twisty

"How are you today?" Cristina asked while playing with Lily on daycare
"I am fine. Super cool surgeries. You?" Meredith responded while she was playing with Ellis. Zola and Sofia are already in school with Bailey and Mark. Ethan is also still in daycare
"Meredith really. Today is you know... The day" Cristina said trying to make a point
"Auntie Meredith, what my mommy is trying to say is that today is the anniversary of the death of uncle Derek and my mom just wanted to know if you are in the dark twisty place" Lily said
"Thank you Lily" Cristina said annoyed
"Your welcome. You know just go straight to the point" Lily said and continued to play with Ellis
"So... Dark and twisty place?" Cristina asked
"Well a little. I just can believe it has been 5 five years!" Meredith said
"Agreed"
"Mommy what surgery are you going to do?" Ellis asked
"Well I will be doing a lot of surgeries today" Meredith said to her little daughter
"But we want to do rounds with you" Ellis responded
"Daycare sucks" Lily said
"Lily language!" Cristina said
"Well I can't take you to rounds" Meredith said
"I can" Cristina said
"Seriously?"
"Yes seriously! Come on my girls we are going to be cardio goddesses today" Cristina said taking Ellis and Lily "Mer? Today at 8 at your place?" Cristina ask before leaving
"Yes totally"

"Amelia? What are you doing here?! You are on maternity leave! Go! Enjoy your baby!" Meredith said when she saw Amelia pushing the stroller around the hospital
"No it's not that" Amelia said laughing
"So?"
"Well it's that today is... The day, and Finn has been super protective and kind and I love it! I really do! But I just need some space and the hospital calms Ryan"
"Well, we are having a dinner anniversary at 8. You need to come and Finn and Ryan" Meredith said
"Of course! Derek would have love that. Crowed and happy dinner celebration" Amelia said when Finn appeared.
"Honey what are you doing here? You are not working aren't you?" Finn asked
"No I am not. It's that your son keeps crying and he likes the hospital" Amelia said defending herself
"Just as her mother. Meredith good to see you" Finn said
"Meredith was just telling me about the dinner celebration today at her place" Amelia said
"I know that you and Derek were never friends or anything but I would love you guys to come and Ryan too. Zola and Sofia are fans of him" Meredith said
"No of course. What happen with Derek was 15 years ago. We are past through it" Finn said
"Okay today at eight! See you" Meredith said and went to check on her patients
