Frodo POV:

So The Fellowship of the Ring had begun. We were all risking our lives for Middle Earth, including Y/N. It never ceased to amaze me how much courage Y/N had; that's one of the reasons why I'm in love with her. She doesn't know I do, I've never been able to find the words to tell her. Every time I'm around her, my whole face goes as red as a tomato, and I can't help the stuttering whenever I speak.

We were had all set camp near the river, everyone feeling the overwhelming tiredness of the long day. Y/N was by the fire, talking to Legolas about his home, Mirkwood. Everyone was eating their serving of dinner, along with Merry and Pippin sneaking a few extra servings here and there!
I offered to take the first watch, whilst everyone let sleep take over them.

I had a plan.

I was going to sneak off with the ring whilst everyone was asleep. I can not let the others risk their lives for me, not anymore. Especially Y/N. I had met her when I first arrived at the shire, just a young hobbit. She had immediately welcomed me, taking me exploring through the forests, introducing me to everyone. I couldn't lose her, even if it meant losing myself.

I packed my things, loading them into the boat by the river. When I had made sure I had everything, including the ring, I pushed the boat into the water, jumping in in the process. I grabbed the oar and started to row.
When I had rowed away from the shore, I heard a heartbroken voice, calling my name. Y/N.

"Frodo! Frodo what are you doing? Come back!" She shouted, her voice panicked and worried.

"I can't Y/N! You are all willing to get yourself killed just so that we may or may not destroy this cursed ring! I won't let you get hurt Y/N." I shouted back, voice quivering, threatening tears in my eyes.

"No Frodo! Stop! We are doing this for Middle Earth! To bring the good back! So that others in Middle Earth can be just like you, kind, loving." Her voice trailed off at the end, making it hard to understand what she had said. Did she mean all those things?

"That's it, if your not coming back, I'll come and get you myself." She grumbled, mainly to herself than me. Then the worst possible thing happened- she started to walk into the water. What is she doing? She can't swim!

"Y/N! Stop! Hobbits can't swim! Go back to the shore! Stop it, now!" I screamed at her, but it was no use. She kept ignoring me, just wading her way deeper into the water. That was until, I was unable to see her.

She had gone under.

I screamed her name again and again, trying to pear into the water, looking for any sign of her beautifully coloured hair.
I would have to go in. I need to save her, because there is no way in Mordor that I will let her drown.

I took off my coat, stood up, took one deep deep breath, and jumped in. A piercing coldness flowed through my body, but that wasn't my problem, not at the moment at least. I opened my eyes, looking around for any sign of her. Then I saw her! She was sinking further down into the water, the current dragging her down.

I kicked my legs, swimming deeper into the water, reaching out for her. I was able to just grab her hand. With one big pull I was able to have her float to the top.

Our heads flew above the water, both of us breathing in with a huge gasp. I pulled her over to the boat, helping her in, myself following after. We landed beside each other, laying there, trying to get our breaths back.

"What were you doing?!" I screamed at her, anger and worry taking over my body, "You know you can't swim! What the hell were you thinking!"

"I'm not sorry, okay! I am glad I went after you! You are too good to realise that you need help! That you need someone to help you, you can't do this alone. I won't leave you, Frodo. Not today, not tomorrow, not until the end of my days. Because if you find someone who is able to take your heart and look after it, then you should stay with them forever. I love you Frodo." She whimpered, gentle tears falling down her face, not making her any less beautiful. I took her in my arms, holding her close to me, like it was the last time we were ever together.

"And I love you. So much, and I could not bear it if I ever lost you. Im sorry for shouting, I was just worried." I whispered in her ear, gently kissing it afterwards.

"You do not need to be sorry, my love. Just hold me close." She whispered,  closing her eyes.

And that was exactly what I did.
