Chan slept until the next day, waking up around 11 am. He walked slowly, sleepily into the kitchen. Everyone was either positioned seated at the kitchen island or scattered on the couch. Everyone looked up as he entered the room and mumbled tired hellos. Apparently, he wasn't the only one who had been trying to catch up on rest. Eisa looked at him, motioning for him to join her on the couch. He grabbed a glass of water before joining her.
"So I have something to tell you and I need your help coordinating it." She said hurriedly. He looked at her waiting for her to continue. She took a deep breath. "My brother and his friends are coming to Korea next month. They have already said they want to meet up to visit but with all of this," She moved her hands to indicate the mansion. "I'm not sure how to do that and keep the mafia stuff a secret." She breathed out in relief after finally explaining her dilemma.
Chan scratched the back of his neck. They would have to plan this out, she was right. After thinking about it for a moment he spoke.
"Let me do a background check on everyone. Give me their names and I can run a check on them." He looked over to Felix and Han. "Can you two help with that? It shouldn't take long. If everything is clear and we have ruled out them being a threat we can have them over here." Eisa stared at him in shock, not expecting this answer.
"But how do we explain all of this?" She asked still not believing what she heard.
"We can keep the mafia activities quiet while they are here. I imagine they will just want to know where you are staying and who you are staying with, especially since it's your brother." He gave her an understanding look which made Eisa relax. He was right, Henry would want to know. She nodded her head sending a text to the group chat with her brother's, Eric and Jackson's names.
"We also have another mission before they come. We will only be taking 4 people on this one, not including myself. The rest of you will remain here." He motioned for everyone to get up and follow him, heading into the dining room which seemed to be where all their group meetings were, Eisa noticed.
"The mission is to follow up on a lead. When combing through the data we collected from Kang, we found a potential weak point to 17. Two of their members are set to meet Kang at an old warehouse near the Han. They are only sending 2 members and Kang is only going with 2 bodyguards, to avoid drawing too much attention. These two members are important to 17's trade operations. If we can eliminate them and also get Kang in the process I think we should take it. " He looked around the room making eye contact with Changbin and Minho. "Changbin, you are all healed from that injury, right? You and Minho will be with me for this along with I.N. and Hyunjin. I need my best marksmen and fighters on this. These two members and Kang will not be easy but it's too good of a chance to pass up." Eisa looked at him concerned. "Eisa, Seungmin, Han, and Felix, you will all remain here. Eisa and Seungmin, prepare for any injuries, and Felix and Han, keep an eye on any CCTV we have of the area as well as comms. We need to be monitoring the CCTV as soon as possible. I want to be aware of movements in that location, not the only day of but leading up to the mission. If we see anything that looks suspicious, we are pulling out and reassessing. Am I clear?" Everyone nodded.
Eisa couldn't shake the pit forming in her stomach. She had a bad feeling about this but decided she should keep it to herself. Chan was careful and he knew the risks. She knew he would make sure to examine every possible angle to this mission. Even knowing this, why did the feeling of dread keep trickling into Eisa's thoughts?

The mission was set to start that next week. Han and Felix finished the background check on her brother and the other two, reporting to Chan that everything was clear. Chan promised to help iron out the details when he returned from the mission.
As those who were preparing for the mission were in and out of training, meetings with Chan, and checking in on the CCTV surveillance, Eisa focused on making sure they were fully prepared for any injury. She tried to stay out of the way of the others, planning her workouts to avoid being in the gym at the same time, only stepping in to help Changbin when he needed a sparring partner.
She had also avoided Minho since their encounter. She wasn't sure what to make of it and the almost kiss. Before a mission wasn't a good time to be having that kind of discussion even, but she was able to find time to talk to him. He had been spending countless hours at the shooting range, pausing only to eat and sleep. Maybe it meant nothing, and Eisa was just overthinking. She resolved to talk to him when he returned. She wouldn't be able to be normal, as normal as you can be around an annoyingly attractive cat lord, around him until she cleared the air. Part of her hoped it would be nothing while a much stronger part of her wanted that moment to have meant something. As she realized this she had to be honest with herself. She cared for Minho, more than she had realized.

The day of the mission arrived, and Eisa's dread had not dissipated. If anything, it had gotten worse.
As she stood on the steps of the mansion she couldn't help but worry if this would be the last time, she would see Chan and the others again. She mentally shook herself and walked back into the mansion. Nothing would happen to them; they would be fine. She retreated to her room to change into some workout clothes, deciding the best way to clear her head would be to take a few laps around the mansion.
Knowing she would not be out for long she decided not to bother the rest of the members, they were busy keeping tabs on the mission. She walked down the sweeping stairs to the front door, slipping out into the chill evening air. She threw her earbuds in and began a brisk jog. As she ran towards the back of the house she completely missed movement from the tree line. The song on her phone switched, the music picking up the tempo in her earbuds as Eisa felt strong arms encircle her. She barely had time to process what was happening before a cloth was held to her nose and mouth, causing her vision to slowly fade to black. Her last view was of three sets of shoes in front of her before she slipped into unconsciousness.
