Chapter 39: End Game Part 2

"Teams in position.  Felix, do you see us on monitoring?" Chan's voice projected from the inner ear comms that the mansion team were all wearing. Eisa had completed her prep in the med area with the rest of the med team and was now hovering near Felix and Han while the rest of the tech team was working out of Chan's office.  Han and Felix had set up shop in Felix's room.  

"Hear you loud and clear, Channie.  You are coming in clear on monitoring."  Felix tabbed over to another view.  The view showed a group of intimidating-looking men armed and ready. "We have eyes on Ma Dong-seok and Gong Yoo.  They seem to have 10 men spread out throughout the location. No sign of Bangtan yet." Felix reported before tabbing back to the view of the teams holding their locations. 

"We are still a little early for the meeting so for now everyone hold and monitor for our targets. I want to divide and concur when it comes to Bangtan." Chan could be seen looking in the direction of the other team's positions, checking to make sure no one was visible to the enemy. "Cocona have you been able to hack the comms for Ma Dong-seok and Gong Yoo?" 

"Affirmative, Chan-ssi. Just waiting for the signal to alert them to our presence." Cocona's voice could be heard in the comms. "Not to question an order but are we sure we want to let them know about this?" 

"It will be easier to take out Bangtan if we don't have to deal with Dong-seok and Yoo as well. I am hoping we can earn favor with them by keeping them out of this business." Chan spoke clearly and with authority.  Eisa looked at Felix who just shrugged without diverting his attention from the monitor in front of him. 

"Yes, sir. I am ready when you are." The doubt in Cocona's voice was no longer present as she responded back.  

"When we have a visual on Bangtan's vehicles we will engage Dong-seok and Gong Yoo and tell them to clear out or they will be caught in the crossfire." After this, the comms were quiet as everyone monitored for any sign of their target.

"I have eyes on Bangtan.  They are a few clicks out but should arrive in 10 minutes." Jungho reported over comms.

"Now, Cocona," Chan said as he double-checked his weapons and made eye contact with the leads of each of the teams.

"Sending the message now, Chan-ssi." Cocona replied. "Ma Dong-seok and Gong Yoo.  SKZ and their allies are planning an attack on Bangtan, please clear the area to avoid being caught in the crossfire. I repeat we have no quarrel with you or your associates.  Please clear the area to avoid causalities." Cocona's voice was clear and the figures on the monitor jumped slightly at the sudden message in their private comms. Ma Dong-seok looked at his associates and gave a short nod.

"We hear you loud and clear, SKZ. We will stand down." Gong Yoo spoke into his comms. He suddenly made eye contact with the camera closest to their position. "We appreciate the heads up. We have no issues with you or your affiliates. We will remember this courtesy." Their men began to move out before Ma Dong-seok paused, looking at the same camera Gong Yoo had been speaking into previously.  

"Be careful. I cannot say for certain but our intelligence showed that Bangtan would not move on this deal alone." He spoke to the camera before running after Gong Yoo.

"Report! Any signs of additional units apart from Bangtan?" Chan's voice was no longer as calm and commanding as it had been previously. There was a note of worry in his tone now.

"Checking." Yuna and Jungho spoke in unison. 

Silence filled the comms.  Eisa could feel a cold sweat roll down her back as they waited for the two techs to check the video feeds.

"Affirmative. We see additional units moving in about 10 minutes behind Bangtan. Working to confirm identity." Yuna spoke, the clicking of her keyboard was the only thing that could be heard as the comms went quiet once again.  "Shit. Chan.... It's 17...they are inbound behind Bangtan." Dead silence on comms after her announcement. Eisa, Felix, and Han all exchanged looks of fear. Felix was rapidly switching camera views. 

"Chan, do you want a backup team from the manor? I can have units ready and moving to your location." Haewon stated, sounding as if she had sprinted from somewhere in the manor. Eisa was not sure where she had set up her post but wherever it was, she had run from there at this recent news.

"Get them prepped and moving out. We will hold things down here until you can get here. I think the manor is safe for now since all enemy units are moving to our location." Chan also sounded out of breath and looking at the monitors, Eisa could see why. He was sprinting to the other team's location, the one with a high view of the area. "I am getting the sniper team prepped for engagement. Are they almost here?" He had reached the other team and was holding his hand up, apparently waiting for the tech team's response.
