Chapter 25: The Lion's Den

Eisa's head felt heavy and a chemical taste lingered in the back of her throat. She attempted to move and open her eyes but neither seemed possible. Even with her eyes open all she could see was darkness, she could feel some sort of cloth covering them. Her arms were bound above her head, she could feel aching in them meaning her arms had been held that way for hours. Her throat felt dry as she yelled into the darkness.

"What the fuck is going on? Let me go!" She knew it was pointless but what other options did she have? She heard a chuckle and then heavy footsteps to her left. Warm breath hit her neck and the blindfold was ripped off her eyes. She blinked furiously, adjusting to the brighter view in front of her. Looking to her left she saw a face she recognized inches from hers. Jungkook gave her a leer. She turned her face away from him, disgusted by how close he was to her.

"Looks like sleeping beauty is finally awake." She felt a hand caress her neck and recoiled at the feeling. "Aww don't be that way. " She watched as he pouted moving away slightly. A voice in English addressed her next.

"It was really bad luck that Chan and the boys were wrapped up on a mission. " A tall man with an ice-cold stare and a smirk, causing a dimple to show looked right at her. "Oh wait. No, it wasn't. It went exactly how we planned." He let out a low chuckle.

"Kang is on his way for the girl. SKZ has discovered she is missing and is working to locate us." It was the stoic man who had kept his nose buried in his computer at the mansion, Yoongi. Eisa's blood ran cold at the mention of Kang's name. She tried once again to struggle out of her bindings. Jungkook laughed then turned to the tall man.

"Do we have to hand her over? I wouldn't mind keeping her around. " He looked at her with a look that made her skin crawl.

"No can do. We made a deal with Kang. You can try to see if he's willing to give her up but I believe he has a personal vendetta against this one." The tall man put a finger under Eisa's chin forcing her to look up. "I do agree it is a shame to lose such an interesting house guest but deals a deal." Eisa glared at the man and spit in his face. His reaction surprised Eisa. He threw his head back and laughed. He nodded to another man who had been standing in the corner. This man had pinkish-blonde hair and a sweet-looking face, but what he did next was not. He got close to Eisa, smiling in a way that didn't reach his eyes. He laid a powerful slap across Eisa's face that made her see stars. She tasted blood in her mouth and spat it out onto the floor.

"You slap like a five-year-old." She gritted her teeth at him. She wasn't sure why she felt the need to antagonize them, she must have a death wish. Death would be better than what she can imagine Kang has planned for her. The pink-haired man looked like he was ready to strike another blow at her before the tall man grabbed his arm.

"Jimin. We can't have her all beat up when Kang arrives. He had plans for her." Jimin glared at the man and then at Eisa before retreating back to his spot near the wall, leaning against it.

"Namjoon. SKZ has located us. They are inbound." Another man came running in. He looked over at Namjoon with a boxy smile. "We don't believe Kang will get here before they arrive. What should we do with her?" Namjoon looked at the man and then back at Eisa.

"Tae and Kookie. You both stay with her. The rest of you are with me. Let 17 know we may need backup. I have a feeling Chan won't show up with just his men. They most likely grabbed Itzy and Ateez as well." Namjoon motioned to the remaining men to join him. Tae and Jungkook both looked at Eisa and then at each other. Fear flooded Eisa's body as the door shut behind Namjoon, and saw Jungkook click the lock from the inside.

Chan and Minho rode with Yeji, Yuna, Mingi, San and Hongjoong. The atmosphere was tense as they got closer to Bangtan's location. The rest of the three groups were in two other cars, armed to the teeth. It didn't take much to convince Ateez and Itzy to assist. As soon as Chan explained the situation, Yeji and Hongjoong agreed immediately.
