You thought having done this before that you would be prepared when you went into labour. You'd remembered all the lessons you'd learned from your pregnancy with Masie. Practised your breathing and coached Javier on things he could do to help you get through it.

Yet.

When your waters broke two weeks before your due date, you were in a mad panic. One, Javier was out on a raid with Steve so your pages had gone unanswered and two... Connie was on shift and so she too was unreachable.

You were bent over gripping the top of your couch as you tried to think of who to call next. It's not like you had many friends but, Connie, Steve and Chloe...

CHLOE!!

You waddled to the phone and rang the Murphy's, knowing that the sitter was taking care of Olivia for the day. You begged under your breath for her to answer and practically sobbed when a "Hello" came down the other end.

"Chloe..." You sobbed, saying your name as you clutched your middle "I've gone into labour and I'm alone. Please, I need help."

"I'll be right down." She said and you replied with a shaky "Okay before hanging up the phone and resuming your panting and sobbing.

Five minutes later the door burst open. Chloe placed Olivia into the playpen with an oblivious María and then sprinted to your side.

"How close are the contractions?" She asked, her nursing degree coming out in full swing.

"About seven minutes." You replied and she nodded.

"Right this is what we're going to do." She started as she took control with ease "We are going to get Sophia opposite to watch María and Olivia and I am then going to drive you to the hospital."

"Okay." You replied as you nodded a tad rapidly.

"I'll be back in a moment." She said before sprinting out of view.

True to her work, a few moments later she returned with Sophia hot on her heels. She fired off a few instructions to the girl before handing her Olivia's bag and making her way back to you, helping you then hobble to her car. Grabbing your cell phone as she went.

It took a grand total of ten minutes to get you to the hospital. It then took a further ten to get you settled into the ward where you were to remain until you were ready to deliver. You were told it wouldn't be long now and you sobbed and begged Chloe to get hold of Javi.

He needed to be there.

So she rang every number in your book. Desperate to hunt down the agent. Little did she know he was already there.

They'd been taken by surprise. One moment they were rounding up the sicarios like sheep and the next, they were being fired upon. Javier and Steve had managed to take cover behind some cheap desks that were lined with different equipment to cut the coke and package, both now dusty with the substance as the bullets rained down on them.

Steve had seen an opening and had decided to take it, not caring that he'd opened them up to a new wave of bullets so when the agent had managed to sprint into view, Peña had seen the Narco that had taken aim and had managed to push Steve out of the way. Taking the bullet in his side, just below his vest.

So that's how he found himself laying on an uncomfortable hospital bed, drugged up on morphine after a tricky surgery to repair the damage. He knew you were going to kill him when he got home but he also knew that you'd not stay mad at him for long.

He'd saved Steve's life after all.

"Man, I'm sorry you-"

"Just drop it, Murphy, okay!" Javier grumbled, "The whole thing was a shit show."
