"Hey Albedo, what do you plan to do about the "Primordial Albedo" thing? And if there's more than one shouldn't we do something about all of them?"

Kaeya placed his fork down, the question had been on his mind for a while now and he decided that it would be a good time to ask. But he knew that if he got into a conversation with Albedo now all his food would go cold, but he was towards the end of his meal, and his food could wait if it had to.

"I don't believe I've planned anything. Is there much we can do? I don't want to kill them, I'd like to avoid it but if we have to, then we will. What else can we do?"

Albedo set his mug down, Kaeya had brought up a good point but they weren't that familiar with the situation.

"We could get them to work for the Knights."

Kaeya joked around but Albedo just looked at him. Was it a good solution? No. Would it work? Probably not. Should they try? It's better than killing them but Albedo still hoped that they'd find something better to do.

"Maybe something not so dangerous, many things could go wrong if they look exactly like me."

Albedo just dismissed the idea, but he was still interested in it. Maybe not specifically into the idea, but the theme of integrating them into society. They could help him with multiple things regarding Rhinedottir, but he could only hope that they'd be willing to help.

"Oh come on Albedo, is it that much of a bad idea? Them on our side and maybe I could date three of you instead of one."

Kaeya replied with a smirk, it was a little weird to joke around about them dating when they weren't, and the reply he could get from this would be hard to predict. But he's already made the joke so why not just laugh awkwardly while waiting? It should at least cover up a little of the colour rising to his face, and the heat burning up his ears.

"Kaeya, I believe one of me would be enough, and we aren't currently in that arrangement.."

Albedo stared down at his mug. Kaeya was distracted with himself enough for him to ignore the similar tint that had risen to Albedo's face too.

Kaeya didn't expect that. And that didn't help him discern Albedo's feelings either. But why not advance a little further? Sure there was maybe a lot to lose but it would be okay, right?

"How about we make it happen then? If you refuse I might just have to ask one of your "brothers" out on a date!"

Kaeya finished his sentence in a sing-song voice, he regretted saying anything. If the answer was no, could he call it a cruel joke? But he hadn't gotten Albedo's answer yet. So maybe this would end in the way he wanted, but is he that lucky? Does this even depend on luck? He felt like just taking someone else's soul and shoving them into his body. Was that a normal thing to think?

"I.. Suppose we could try something like that.."

Was that a yes? It was close enough to a yes for Kaeya's face to light up. When did he grab Albedo's hands, or well, hand? Albedo's other hand was occupied with covering his face.

Albedo was embarrassed. Was he embarrassed? Was that the right word? He hated the feeling as much as he enjoyed it. He was always aware of his emotions, but he could never get them to go away, and he wished that he had the ability to right now. He wasn't very comfortable with the amount of heat he was feeling. In his hands, in his face, the back of his neck, even his ears were on fire. But he should enjoy this moment, so he tried to.

He looked down at their linked fingers, and up at Kaeya. If Kaeya was happy, then he was. He hadn't realised it, but this felt like all he'd ever wanted. He felt almost complete.

"Uh, what happens now?"

Kaeya now felt equally as "embarrassed" as Albedo, except this time it was embarrassment. He had done this before with plenty of people, why was he so scared this time? Was it because it was actually real?

"I guess we enjoy the moment."

Albedo spoke with a genuine smile, but they really should get back to work. Something else would probably happen soon, maybe another assasination attempt on Albedo, and this time it could be successful.

"So then, is this a good excuse to never let you leave my sight?" Back to joking around. Albedo really did wonder how Kaeya switched demeanours so quickly. "Of course to keep you safe, and maybe a little for my own personal benefit."

Kaeya was still feeling euphoric from that experience, it did seem a little weird but again, if Kaeya was happy then Albedo was too. It was such a sappy line, but it fit just perfectly.

"Perhaps we should discuss this with Lisa? She's been involved for a while now, it would be stupid to refuse her help."

And Kaeya was ignored. It didn't make much of a difference, he'd do what he wanted anyway. And Albedo's suggestion put them back on to the important topics, so maybe being ignored wasn't that bad.

"I'm sure she'd have some idea on what to do, someone as smart as her must be able to think of at least something, no?"

Everything Kaeya just said could probably be summed up into one word, but 'sure' must've been too hard for him to say. But they both stood up, completely forgetting about their poor food that Kaeya had slaved away to make.

"Oh and also, once we meet up with her should we tell her about our "arrangement"?"

Albedo did have a feeling that Kaeya would never forget his choice of wording, and this just confirmed it.

"I don't mind what you do."

It was a harsh sentence, but that meant Kaeya'd get no trouble from Albedo for doing stupid things, so it was a win.

Both of their footsteps echoed through the hall, no one said anything, even though they had a lot to speak about. They could save all that for outside, or with Lisa.

Kaeya and Albedo realised that they were probably being watched, but only as the feeling dissipated. While they continued walking, someone who looked similar to Albedo watched in disgust, thinking of how it would have to act towards Kaeya. It was painful to think about but unless it acted perfectly, another thing would go wrong, and it would be even worse than the first time.

Kaeya and Albedo made it to the Favonius' building in no time, walking on autopilot as they spoke to each other in their own world. They only realised that they'd arrived when Kaeya opened the door of the Library, walking hand-in-hand with Albedo and greeting her.

His greeting was met with a short sigh, and a small smirk added on too.

"Remember to tell me all the details before we get into the problems."

Both Kaeya and Albedo silently cringed at Lisa's comment, but they obliged as she led them back to the room they spent most of their time in at the Library.

:)

Uh today was a little busier than expected so this is maybe four hours later than the others, but then again there were a few where the chapter was released at 3 AM or in an hour's time. It may not have been what you wanted but the next chapter will be out as soon as possible, or well, in three days since that's my update schedule. Have a nice day, I'm going to bed then
