"Wait, WHAT?!" Gru exclaimed surprised. "You never told me they were AVL agents."

Lucy slowly approached Gru and held her parents' files in her hands. Her eyes began to crystallize.

"Gru, we have to find Zeta's files and photocopy them along with my parents'.." she said as her breath hitched.

"But what's going on? Why didn't you ever tell me anything? You know perfectly well that you can't photocopy files that aren't the ones the boss asks for..." He commented as he followed her.

"I have the right to know what really happened to my parents and how they died... And I'll explain everything to you at home, don't worry." she answered him as she walked towards the exit with the hidden files.

"We're going to get in trouble..." He said as he quickened his steps to catch up with Lucy.

The couple left and quickly went to the table of one of their coworkers , Emily, she was a friend of Lucy's and she always printed any necessary paperwork for her.

"Well couple, what do we have today?" she asked with a smile.

"These files are for printing, the blue ones do it quickly please." Gru replied a little nervous. "Okay, right now! How was your day? The mission went well because of the rumors." Emily asked as she arranged the files.

"Yeah everything went well, we managed to get the plane back and all that." Lucy responded a bit anxiously as Emily photocopied.

An awkward silence ensued but shortly after the photocopies were ready.

"Here, take what you need and leave here the files that they haven't asked for because I doubt the boss will ask you for the Wilde files. Come pick them up when you're done and be careful." She whispered to the couple as she handed them the photocopies of the Zeta files.

"Thanks a lot dear." Lucy answered her and then returned to the file room. The couple entered the room again and left the files in their corresponding places. After that they went to Valerie's office to give her the card and photocopies of it and returned to Emily's desk.

"Really thank you very much." Gru thanked her as he collected the photocopies.

"Remember, be careful because if they find out that you have taken files that you shouldn't take, the boss will kill you." Emily responded to Gru.

Gru and Lucy said goodbye and with the saved photocopies they left the base. The two were pretty quiet until they got in the car and drove back to the house. The girls were waiting for them at the door and quickly hugged the couple and asked them all the details of that day's mission. The couple happily told him about the mission as they dined as a family with Dru until it was time to go to sleep. The two happily kissed the girls good night.

"Okay, I'll go to my room! See you tomorrow, guys." Dru said goodbye. "See ya, I have to talk to Lucy about something." Gru replied. 'Is everything alright between you?' Dru said with a worried face "No, of course not, nothing important. Yeah, bye brother!"

Dru went straight to his room and Gru and Lucy went to theirs. Lucy grabbed the photocopies and put them on her nightstand. The two of them sat on the edge of the bed.

They were AVL agents and well, one day they disappeared and nothing was ever heard from them again. "I would have loved to meet them..." Gru added as he wrapped one arm around Lucy.

Gru grabbed the photocopies, put them on the nightstand and hugged Lucy one last time.

"Thank you for wanting to help." Lucy told her as she returned the hug from her husband.

"Everything will be fine. Now let's sleep well, we'll take advantage of this three days that we have free for that."
