6 Reunion

"That bunch of idiots... We have to go to that place and find out what they've done with your parents."  Gru looked over at Alice.  "And also what happened to your uncle."

Alice just sat in a chair and put her hands on her head.

"I can't believe all this. My father disappeared when I was barely two years old and my mother never told me that he was an agent or that he was involved in these things. I need to go with you."

"How do you want to come with us when you have no experience in dangerous things of this kind?"  Asked the redhead.

"I'll go with you. I need to see my father again... Please."  She pleaded.

"Well, I won't say anything else. You will come with us but first we have to see the perimeter," Gru said as he pointed to the map.  "This afternoon you will come to our house to talk to the team. If there are no obstacles as a mission of the AVL we'll go tomorrow."

Lucy and Alice agreed.  Gru and Lucy went back to the house and waited for the afternoon.

It was 6pm, Lucy, Gru, Alice, Dru and Nefario were in the laboratory, sitting at a table.  Gru began to explain the plan to them step by step and everyone was attentive.  Then it was the turn to talk about Dr. Nefario, he had sent a drone to the area hours before to see how much protection he had.  He was surprised when he found a barrier that made the huge aquatic building invisible to the world, for obvious reasons, but the drone managed to discover it before thinking that there was nothing and they were able to investigate.  The building was huge, containing a pier and little protection.  It didn't even have cameras, it was obvious that it was abandoned but it had still moored a boat that looked recently used.

Together they decided to go in Gru's vehicle, the 4 of them will go, although Lucy and Alice will stay in the vehicle in case of an emergency.  Everything was ready and the next day they would leave at 3pm.  The mission was on.

And the day came.  Lucy was quite nervous about the mission, she didn't know what she was going to find that day.  Gru already had everything prepared and Gru's mother was going to take care of the girls.
It was 3pm and Alice had arrived at the house.  Dru and her company were waiting for her in the lab, preparing the ship.  The 4 got on, Gru as the driver and immediately left the house.  They had a 1 hour trip left to reach the place.

During the trip, Gru noticed how Lucy trembled because of her nerves.  He knew how important all this was to her and how bad it had been.  As he promised her, he would help her solve this case and they were getting it.  From there they reached the invisible fortress.  Delicately the ship entered the invisible force field that simulated that there was nothing but water.  Surprisingly inside they found the huge building they saw with the drone earlier.
Gru put the ship in cloak mode just in case and left it floating in the water, activating aquatic mode.  Gru and Dru prepared their suits to go on the mission and Gru went to say goodbye to Lucy.  He quickly gave her a big hug, promising that everything would be fine and that he would talk to her through the earpiece that the two brothers had to communicate.  Lucy placed a kiss on his lips before Gru left.  The two brothers left and began to scale the building while Lucy and Alice stayed in Gru's ship.

"Oh really, do you how much I hate that we need stay here."  Alice commented a little annoyed as she looked inside the ship.

"Alice, we discussed it yesterday. We're not going to risk you getting in there when you haven't been in any dangerous situation like this and I'm still in medical care for my pregnancy. And you know I hate missing out on this kind of thing ."  Lucy answered.

"I don't care, my uncle could be in there and I want to save him. And there's nothing that can stop me. And I know you can come with me too."  Alice protested.
