It was 10 in the morning and the couple had woken up. Lucy hadn't slept a wink all night because of all the thoughts she had about her parents and she had dark circles under her eyes. Gru got up and with the help of Lucy woke up the girls and together with Dru made breakfast while Lucy prepared the table. The girls happily began to gobble up the pancakes that the brothers had prepared.

"Today what will we do?" Agnes asked as she poured syrup on her last pancake.

"Today girls Lucy and I have to go somewhere so Uncle Dru will take care of you." Gru answered her as he carried his plate to the sink.

"Uhhh is it a secret mission? Can we go?" Edith said enthusiastically.

"No secret missions, it's something personal. And no, you can't come, you're going to get bored." He answered the middle daughter who looked at him with a disappointed face.

Once breakfast was finished, Lucy grabbed the photocopies and left with Gru, before saying goodbye to the girls and Dru. They went in Gru's car looking for the street where Silas lives until they reached a residence with small apartments. Silas's house was located there, a small apartment with a white facade that appeared to have been recently painted. The couple got out of the car, went to the house and rang the doorbell. A familiar image opened the door, obviously Silas, who greeted them and gestured for them to come in and sit on the sofa.

"Good morning, what do you have to tell me to be here?" Silas told the couple as he sat down across from them.

"Well Silas, I know we can always count on you... I simply need to know the truth about what happened to my parents. We have found their files and I have many doubts..."

At that moment Silas got up and went into a little room. Shortly after he returned with a blue folder that was similar to the files.

"First of all, don't do it again because you could get into serious trouble... But hey, Lucy, I'll tell you everything about them."

Lucy looked closely at Silas as she placed one of her hands on top of Gru's, she felt like that little girl who had to face life alone. Silas took out some documents and started looking at them as he spoke.

"Your parents' case was very complicated, my dear. They were some of the most reputable agents of the entire local agent staff, they were the best, they caught all kinds of villains and I have seen it with my own eyes. They were for a while when they had you but they came back just as strong, although more absent. Everything was going well until one normal day when they lost track of them. We didn't know anything about them, except that the last time they were seen was in the "la barriada" residence. We were investigating the area and we realized that your uncle was also a victim. We did our best but after a week the case was filed, we had no evidence, we had no way and at that moment we were too busy with other more serious cases than this ended up being lost."

"No, it can't be... How could you literally abandoned the case just because "there were other more serious cases"!? Wasn't my parents enough, they weren't that important?" Lucy asked, quite upset .

"I couldn't do anything, it was the boss's decision at the time. You must understand, we have done everything possible but in this folder are the latest evidence that leads us to nothing. You can take them if you want to resume the case but I didn't find out the AVL because you can get into more trouble and I don't think it will be favorable after the first dismissal."

"Please give them to me, I need to figure this out myself, I don't care about the risks." Lucy replied as she grabbed the folder.

"Well, what are the proofs?" Gru asked Silas.
