Numb.

All I felt was numbness.

I haven't gone to school for months.

My mother's funeral was in mid December, it was a day me and my father dreaded. It was hard for us to accept that she really was dead.

But i guess time goes on and people move on.

My dad did, I didn't.
I can barely get out of bed, I can't eat- all I want is to redo the last interaction I had with her.
I want to tell her I love her. That I care for her- that she's the best person in the whole wide world.

But I can't do that.

She's dead and there is nothing I can do about it.

My door flew open and Tao walked in, he sat down in my desk chair and faced me. "It's time you get the fuck out of bed" he said and looked me in my red eyes exhausted from both crying and not being able to sleep.

"You've been in here for over a month, I get that you're depressed- but you have to move on. You have to talk to people- to not be by yourself and let your thoughts make you go crazy" he said and I blinked.

"No" was all I said, It was all I really could say. "No" I repeated and rolled over in bed.

All of a sudden my duvet cover was snatched away, "Babe, I'm not joking" Tao said and grabbed my feet and dragged me out of bed.

He whistled and Elle, Carlie and Isaac walked into my room. "Elle, you help her bathe- Char and Isaac you guys help me clean y/ns room" Tao said and they all nodded.

Elle helped me up to my feet and we walked into my bathroom, Elle locked the door after us and then sat me down on the toilet.

"Y/n, you really need to take care of yourself, so me and the boys are here to help you. And for this to work, you need to cooperate" she said with a soft voice.

"Just say I stink" I said and tucked a pice of my greasy hair behind my ear, "Fine, you are quite stinky, I'm going to make you a bubble bath. Unfortunately I will have to sit in here when you take it- Tao was very clear on that point" she said and went over to the small bathtub.

She started the water and then poured in some of my lavender soap, "I can wash your hair for you" she said and I nodded.

"Thank you" I said and a tear rolled down my cheeks, "Thank you so much" I cried and Elle sat down besides me on the floor. "It's just what I have to do" she said and held my hand.

I was sitting in the bath getting my hair washed by Elle, I had put on some music and was enjoying the moment. "You don't understand how much this means to me" I said and looked up at Elle.

She looked back at me with soft eyes and smiled, "You should thank Tao, he's been really worried about you, I mean me, char and Isaac too but Tao has been like really worried about you" Elle said and rinsed off the shampoo in my hair.

She put some conditioner in my hair and then we heard a knock on the door, "What?" Elle asked and sighed.

"I'm just checking in making sure everything's fine" Tao said and I hummed, "We're listening to Taylor Swift and she's massaging my head, go away" I said and yawned.

"Alright" he said and I closed my eyes, "Y/n?" Elle asked and started to massage my shoulders.

"Have you eaten at all?" She asked and my body stiffened, "Yeah- I mean, barely but I've been eating" I said and started to fiddle with my hands, "kinda" I continued and put my chin on my knees that were covering my front.

"Okay, well, me and the guys were thinking of going to this restaurant together and I was wondering if you wanted to come?" She asked and rinsed out the conditioner.

"Uhm yeah, sure, I'll just.. I'll be fine" I said and bit the inside of my cheek. "Great, now you dry off while I turn around" she said and pulled out the plug to the bathtub.

She turned around and I stood up, I
wrung out my hair and stepped out of the bathtub. "Stay turned around" I said as I looked myself in the mirror.

A pale, thin, blonde girl stared back at me, I looked nothing like myself.

I grabbed a towel and wrapped it around myself and then tapped Elles shoulder, "Done" I said and she smiled at me.

"I'll send out the boys then you can change" she said and I nodded, she walked out and I continued to look at myself. I sighed and then begun washing my face.

I did my whole skincare routine and then dried my hair to about 70% dry with my hairdryer, I then walked out into my room and my jaw fell open.

They had cleaned all the garbage and clothes off of my floor, they had changed the sheets on my bed and then made the bed. They had put everything in order and even vacuumed the floor.

I teared up and then walked over to my wardrobe, I pulled out a fresh pair of underwear and a bra as well as some joggers and a tank top.

I changed into my clothes and the opened my bedroom door, "I love you guys" I said and hugged Tao and Charlie. They as well as Isaac and Elle hugged me back.

I cried softly into Taos shoulder and then pulled away. "I love you so much" I said in between sobs.

This was the first time I could feel anything but sadness and numbness for a while, and I loved it. I loved feeling loved and I loved loving them.
