Time travel au 2

It's been almost a year now, she had to admit. Yako missed Tsuchigomori. She used to see him atleast once a week, but she hadn't seen him in months. Does she not have the ability to time travel anymore? She rested her head on the table. She didn't have anything to do today, nothing on her calendar and all her friends were busy. She traced her pointer finger across the table and a memory hit her.

An unsolved mystery she had for years. She never solved this and never had a clue on what happened. It happened when she just started time travelling, and saw Tsuchigomori in her own time period. He looked the same as he always did, barely any differences. Too close to just be a distant relative of his. The way he looked at her..

"I'm sorry, who are you?"

She turned her face towards the table with her arms folded under it. She didn't know what to do except just to forget about him. She did try for months and months but she couldn't stop wondering on what happened to him.

Was it possible that all the time travelling was a figment of her imagination. No.. that couldn't be possible, she still had the jacket she lent to her a long time ago. However, when she did see Tsuchigomori in her own time he didn't seem to know her. There were some things she was starting to forget about him, but she could never forget the look in his eyes when they were focused on her.

She stood up and grabbed a coat from her closet and put it on, zipping it up all the way. She grabbed her wallet, her phone and her house keys and walked down the stairs, closing the doors behind her and opened the main door and stepped out. The cold wind blew at her right in the face the moment she stepped out and she turned back around to lock the door. She started walking, passing by the many cafes and stores around her. There was only one place she wanted to go to.

After around 15 minutes of walking, she stood in front of the old cafe she had not visited in years. She's only been here twice, technically in the same day. One time with Tsuchigomori, another with her friends. She saw through the big window that it got extended a little again, and a fresh new painting job. She also noticed the new tables in chairs that they had. It was barely recognizable, but it was still the same place.

She walked in, a bell lightly chiming. She was a bit sad to remember that the space she sat with Tsuchigomori didn't exist anymore after the years. She sat down at a different spot, still against the window like the old one. She felt trapped, being helpless with nobody to turn to who would believe her. She didn't know anyone to be that crazy to really believe she time travelled several decades ago many times.

She ordered a lemonade and a cheesecake, payed and sat back down as she waited. All she could do for now is just wait for as long as she would need and hope that she could see him again. Even if it was that extremely close look-alike of him, that would be nice for her, but not quite enough. If only she could see Tsuchigomori in her time, everything wouldn't be as complicated.

The waiter gave her the lemonade and the cheesecake, Yako gave her a small smile. She sighed and took a sip of the lemonade. It was different than other lemonades she tried, with a lot of different tastes combining in her throat that she couldn't identify most. Well I guess now if she ever craved a really good lemonade she knew where to buy now. She looked at the cup and realized that she was already almost halfway through the glass and slowed down. She placed the lemonade back on the table, still in her hand. 

After eating, it gave her a little more energy to walk around more. She wondered, how would Tsuchigomori's apartment look like now after all the years? Would it be demolished? Or would it be renovated to an even bigger apartment? The curiosity took over Yako, so she atleast tried to remember the way to Tsuchigomori's apartment building. She didn't know the name of the apartment either, so she couldn't ask someone there if they know where it is.
