Katara shifted through the kitchen, finding things she could cook for herself before the meeting later that evening.

It's so quiet.

Yesterday everyone else had gone their separate ways. They all agreed to meet back up in 2 weeks to finalize the invasion plan and prepare to finalize Ang's training.

I wonder what I'm going to do until then... Suki and the other warriors are supposed to come in a week. I have the place to myself until then.

She finished cooking breakfast for herself, feeling a little strange that she would be eating by herself for the first time since leaving the South Pole.

She was interrupted by her meal when she heard a knock at the door.

Who's that? Did someone forget something?

She shook her head, thinking that Sokka might have forgotten something like the smart idiot he is.

She opened the door, "Hello..."

She felt fear and dread sink in as she spotted the scar, the one that belonged to the Fire Nation Prince that had chased them halfway across the world.

Zuko...

.........

Zuko didn't expect to be treated kindly when he decided to ask for help.

He honestly was expecting to be attacked by the avatar and his friends as soon as he set foot near the house.

But no one was in sight when he arrived and he was able to walk unnoticed to the front door. Even the furry Bison he figured would be in the yard was nowhere to be seen.

Weird... Did they go somewhere?

The only place he could think of was the palace, and that would be pretty bad because Zuko wasn't going to be able to sneak into there anytime soon.

Even if I could I can't risk exposing myself while we're in Ba Sing Se. I'm pretty sure I can get the avatar to keep quiet but that's about it.

His entire plan was based on the fact that the Avatar would agree to let them stay in Ba Sing Se in secret.

He said we could be friends back in Pouhai, he won't hold a grudge now that I'm not chasing him anymore. I even saved his pet Bison so he should have no reason not to keep our secret.

Zuko knocked on the door, deciding to speak his case as quickly as possible to avoid making a commotion.

He froze as soon as the door opened, only realizing after the stunned Waterbender recognized him that no one else seemed to be in the house.

Shit...

He dodged as the waterbender attacked him, using the water whips he had gotten used to fighting back when he chased them.

"Wait! I'm not here to fight you!"

He ducked as a whip barely missed his head, shattering the wood behind him.

Shit, this wasn't supposed to happen...

Katara meanwhile wasn't holding back, "I'm not going to fall for that."

How'd he find us? I thought he gave up after we saw him in that abandoned town.

She focused her water as Zuko dodged around, using some of it to ice the ground and make him slip.

Gotcha!

She pulled Water from the nearby pond, washing it over Zuko and freezing him to the ground.
