Classes went by quickly, chaos running through Magical Creatures with the new beasts Hagrid had bred. Already a few students had to leave in the middle of class to get care from Madam Pomfrey. Defense Against the Dark Arts continued to bring in new interest, especially with how Moody acted in class. It was a humor Rosalie was excited to have in a class that usually was so grim. All classes she was in were going by well. Chatter about the soon arrival of Durmstrang and Beauxbatons Academy students made many excited.

"They're arriving this week..." Heidi spoke as she flipped another page in her transfiguration textbook. "It's exciting that we will meet other students from around Europe!"

Rosalie just nodded her head and continued scribbling down her argument on paper for their homework assignment. "Yeah, it will be cool to meet them. I'd love to learn about their home countries if any do wish to befriend us." She also flipped a page in her copy of the same book, eyes widening at some of the text she read. "Heidi, flip three pages over. The answer is there!"

The blonde ushered out thanks and flipped to the page. The two continued working silently, only being disturbed when a large being passed by the glass windows of their common room. They'd give the giant squid a glance and wave at him, a usual greeting they did whenever they saw the beast swim by. The monster moved a tentacle in a waving fashion, sharing friendliness back with the girls before it decided to swim down some more and greet other Slytherins sitting near the windows.

"Think we should smuggle toast out in the morning for him?" Heidi offered.

"Make it a classic and see if he likes beans too?" Rosalie asked back.

With a snap of her fingers and Heidi's index finger pointed at Rosalie. "Yes! Let's try it and see if he likes it the best way for breakfast."

The two laughed and returned to writing down more for their homework. It even caught the attention of a prefect, who also chuckled along with them at the joke. Time continued to idle by as the two worked and conversed as many other fellow house members did in the shared area.

"Look, all I'm saying is that he shouldn't manage the class if all the beasts are going to hurt me!"

Many people looked up from their focus, along with Rosalie and Heidi, to see Draco entering the dormitory with his usual posse. Pansy was close to him as usual, still patting a cloth on where a still-fresh slice from the Bowtruckle was at.

"First that bloody Hippogriff and now a twig... What does that buffoon even do?" Draco muttered as he neared one of the sofas and plopped down on it.

"Obviously not his job," Pansy spoke. She'd turn her head and look at Crabbe and Goyle, who both nodded their heads in agreement. "Hagrid is a terrible teacher and shouldn't be allowed to teach."

Rosalie's eyes narrowed hearing the girl speak, and it was enough that she wanted to counter back. "Maybe he should shout louder so you guys understand his instructions in class."

The group of four looked at Rosalie in an instant, Draco's face holding a slight scowl, not moving much due to the deep gashes still on his face. "And what do you mean by that, Monday?"

Heidi glanced at Rosalie with knitted eyebrows. "Don't..."

The brunette raised her hand to pause her friend, feeling comfortable with her response to the platinum blonde. "Well, last year you ignored how he taught us to approach a Hippogriff. And during our Bowtruckle hunt, he specifically said not to harm the trees. Bowtruckles will protect their homes with their lives. Maybe you need what muggles call, a hearing aid."

While her joke at the end was clever and made some of her like-minded Slytherins chuckle at it, the joke only set Draco off more. It also upset other purebloods in the room, albeit not many resided there at the moment. The male got up and walked over to Rosalie, green eyes narrowed and locking with her gray-green ones.
