They were in the library, looking through the section on goblins, finding any book they could on their current essay assignment. A few books littered their table as they gazed through certain ones and scribbled down notes for the assignment they'd complete later.

Rosalie was writing down a book's line when someone bumped her seat from behind. She glanced behind and saw another Slytherin, Finch, who obviously was in a foul mood again. Instead of saying anything, she would go back to her work with Heidi, not wanting to deal with another irritable person on the same day.

Already she had Malfoy call her a "half-mudblood" at their lunch today, all over a few of her own housemates overhearing her conversation with Leonid in Hogsmeade. Anyone who wasn't of pureblood status usually got this treatment in her house, and it wasn't something she ever would get used to.

Once Finch was away and out of range, Heidi would speak up. "Are they doing it again because of your family?"

Rosalie would roll her eyes. "Yes... Even though my dad's mother comes from a pureblood line, they always just go after the muggle lineage in my family. It's annoying."

Heidi's head nodded slightly. "Yeah. They focus more on blood status in our house and it is annoying..."

"They can't mess with you, though. You and your brother don't even know who your fathers are."

"Yup, all cause my mom thought she fell in love, and each time the guy left her when she got pregnant." Heidi looked back at her book. "You'd think people would shun that, but nope, they're more obsessed if we come from muggles or muggle-born witches and wizards."

"And they assume your adoptive parents are your biological parents."

Heidi nodded her head and flipped the page in her book. "Yup... It's annoying."

The two let the conversation drift off, both focused on writing down notes for the assignment in History of Magic. Vile it was. Seeing how wizards and witches oppressed goblins. Was it an opinion piece? No. The students merely were assigned to write their own log of the events.

"I found a portion speaking on how their rights for wands were taken away," Heidi commented. "Want me to note it down for both of us to use?"

Rosalie hummed and replied. "Yeah, that seems to be one of the main issues. They have policies that shove them under us and now have caused them to be second class."

"It's bloody barbaric..." Heidi muttered.

It was all Professor Binns seemed to talk about. The Goblin Rebellions of the seventeenth and eighteenth century and then the Giant Wars. He muddied the names, confused so many students, yet made some of them angry when they did discover the deep history of goblins and wizards.

"Look, if you two join me, then it's three of us, okay?"

Rosalie and Heidi raised their heads from their books and glanced over at the trio of Gryffindors who had entered the library. One had frizzy hair, much like Rosalie's. Another girl who still didn't know how to manage her curls. The other two were typical, their faces shown. Ron Weasley and Harry Potter.

"What is Granger going on about?" Heidi whispered to her friend.

Rosalie flexed the muscles around her ear, hoping to get a better angle, and strained to hear what they spoke about. Something about elves, slavery, and the kitchens here?

"Come on, they like it, 'Mione! I think they would've rebelled by now if they didn't want to cook." Ron added to his counter. "Making this organization is pointless."

As the three walked by, they didn't seem to notice the two Slytherin girls eyeing them. Mention of House Elves? Slavery? It made them curious to know what was going on, but would Hermione let them listen or join in?
