The two couldn't help but laugh as they ran up the stairs with a bag in hand. They had finished the cupcake trick during their lunch break, and Professor Snape actually let them out just a bit earlier than usual today. A "treat due to how well the Slytherins acted today" in his exact words.

Almost in perfect sync, Rosalie and Heidi entered the Great Hall and walk over to the Hufflepuff table. They knew where Henry and Martyn usually sat and went straight to them.

"Happy Halloween!" Rosalie cheered at them.

"Happy Halloween!" the two males shared back with them.

"To celebrate, here are some cakes for you guys," Heidi spoke as she pulled them out of the bag tucked in her left hand. She handed one to Martyn and then one to Henry. "A treat to have survived two months of N.E.W.T. classes!"

Henry smiled, appreciating the kind comment from his little sister. "Thank you, Heidi. This is so nice of you and Rosalie." He'd then go to take a bite, and then another, soon devouring the item due to the richness of the dark chocolate. One thumb brushed a spare crumb off of his lips as he looked over at Martyn, seeing he hadn't eaten his yet. "Are you going to..." A hiccup cut him off. When Henry composed himself, he'd go to try and speak again before another one came out.

Martyn set the cake down on the bare plate and eyed Henry carefully. "You were foolish enough to fall for their prank. They stuffed a hiccough in it, you divvy."

"What...?" Henry managed to slip out before getting up. "You two..." Another hiccup came out of him. "I'll get you!" But before he could plot revenge, he'd bolt for the doors and to the nearest bathroom.

"Well, we got one of you," Rosalie said with a shrug. "At least Henry we can fool a little easier."

"Yeah, but not me. Although..." Martyn looked at the dirty blonde entering the hall. "I know someone who's a bit of a plank when it comes to food."

The girls looked in the direction Martyn was looking, seeing Riley fast approaching. They'd both look at him with questioning looks to only get a wink from Martyn as a silent response. His head then redirected to the quickly incoming Riley.

"Just in time! We had some delicious cakes and one is left. Go ahead and enjoy it yourself!" Martyn offered the cake out to Riley, being as nonchalant as he usually was when he was up to no good.

Riley took it and looked it over, trying to determine its flavor in the dim light cast from above. After determining it was one she would like, a bite was taken. Before she could even finish it, the hiccups began.

"What the..." another hiccup popped out and Riley covered her mouth.

Martyn burst out in laughter and the other two girls began to laugh as well. "Got you!"

While still going through the surge of hiccups, Riley rolled her eyes and giggled. She was fast to slide into the empty space next to Martyn and get close to his ear as another hiccup was released. Martyn was fast to grab the younger girl and push her away, all while also laughing at her actions. The actions alone were enough to make Rosalie start to chew the inside of her cheek.

"Heidi, we should get to our own table for dinner," Rosalie stated as she slightly nudged her friend.

It took one glance for the blonde to understand why. She saw the slight look of jealousy in Rosalie's features. A look that was common when Riley got too close for comfort to Martyn. She didn't say anything else, but helped Rosalie over to their table, trying to calm the bit of anger now stewing in her.

"We're going to have a good night, okay? Don't let Riley wreck it for you," Heidi spoke.

A long and hard sigh slipped out through Rosalie's nostrils before she relaxed her elbows on the wooden table and looked at the glimmering plate. Her green eyes then drifted to look at the closest pumpkin floating above, seeing the angry expression carved into the side. If she could, she'd give that same face to Riley. The fourth-year Hufflepuff knew of her crush on Martyn, yet still tried to do subtle flirting with him any chance she got. It was enough that Rosalie wanted to lash out back at the girl for going past the requested boundaries.
