As we sat reading our books Carlisle suddenly said "Come in," Edward opened the door and Carlisle said "What can I do for you?" he stood up and Edward said, "I wanted to show Bella some of our histories, Well, your history, actually." Bella quickly apologized "We didn't mean to disturb you," Carlisle said "Not at all. Where are you going to start?" Edward said "The Waggoner," Edward positioned Bella in front of the far left portrait and then said "London in the sixteen-fifties,"  Carlisle said "The London of my youth," to be funny I said "Youthful? When?" then ran from the room as he tried to grab me, I went to Esme who said, "He's gonna get you." I giggled "He can try." she said "You're just lucky he has to go to the hospital for a little bit." she pushed a bowl of mac and cheese in front of me so I sat down to eat it. She said, "So, Carlisle won't tell me what your blood test results were and I'm curious." I said, "Well it's doctor-patient confidentiality, Esme." Alice skipped in "Please tell everyone." I rolled my eyes "Of course you know." I sighed no longer hungry, I pushed the bowl away and took a deep breath before finally speaking the words aloud. "I'm... Pregnant." Alice squealed I said, "Hey, settle yourself, I'm sure you knew before I did." Esme said, "How do you feel about it?" I shrugged "I'm not sure, I was kind of hoping to forget about the whole thing. I'm also scared, for one, I'm only 17 but also what if Charlie hates me?" Esme said "It's ok to be scared, but Charlie won't hate you. It wasn't your fault and he is your father, he will love you regardless of what happens as you grow up." I sighed "I hope so, I'm gonna go lay down." Esme said "Use mine and Carlisle's room, Jasper is in his and Alice's" I nodded and headed up to Carlisle and Esme's room and laid down.

A few hours later Alice burst into the room arms full of bags, I said "Alice what did you do?" she said, "Look what I bought." I sighed but smiled at my crazy friend and sat up, to my complete horror it was all baby clothes. I said "Alice. We're not gonna need any of this till December, None of this is winter clothing." she said "So." I said "I'm sorry, have you seen a baby? He or she will outgrow all of this before summer, it's all newborn and 0-3 months." she said, "But I'm excited." I said, "That's great, but we live in Washington, I have babysat enough to know the newborn clothes will only fit for a max of a month on a full-term baby, and my due date is gonna be December so by summer he or she will be 5 or 6 months old, and won't fit any of this." I sorted threw her chaos shopping and said "This pile we can make warmer, since its onesies and dresses. This pile of shorts however is going to be a no-go." she pulled out another bag, "Fine but can this be her first outfit?" she pulled out an outfit

I laughed "More like mommy's only man. Ok, these are cute and can be made warm, so fine." She took all the clothes and went to leave the room but I said "Oh, and don't buy a ton of clothes, babies grow quickly." She left and I pulled out my laptop to look at housing Carlisle came in "I see you told them." I said "Esme and Alice begged me, Esme was mad you wouldn't tell her." he rolled his eyes "I know. So Alice saw a vision of a storm tonight, and we are going to play baseball, we can only play during a storm because the bats hitting the ball sounds like thunder. Do you want to come?" I said "Absolutely!" he said, "Ok, we'll leave as soon as everyone is ready. What are you doing?" I said, "Looking at houses, having a child means I have to have somewhere to put the child, Charlie's house doesn't have any extra room and besides he has to work early I don't want to bother him with a screaming baby." Carlisle said, "Why don't you live here?" I shut my laptop and said "Because I'm not gonna inconvenience you guys with a crying baby either." and I left the room, Alice handed me an outfit so I went to the bathroom and took a shower before getting dressed in white skinny jeans, a long sleeve white shirt and a black hoodie that was way too big for me.

We were in the field waiting for Bella and Edward. I was leaning against Esme's chest as we, along with Emmett, and Rosalie were sitting on a rock, Jasper, and Alice, at least a quarter of a mile apart, throwing the ball back and forth, and Carlisle was marking bases, once they came into view Esme said: "Let's go greet your sister." I said "Walk toward Edward? No thanks, you go on ahead." she sighed but started toward them. Emmett followed after a long look at Rosalie's back; Rosalie had risen gracefully and strode off toward the field without a glance in their direction. Alice danced over to the group as Carlisle came over to me he said "It's time." A deep rumble of thunder shook the forest beyond us and then crashed westward toward town. Alice reached for Emmett's hand and they darted toward the oversized field. As Bella and Esme made it to me I heard Esme saying "That's why I'm so happy that he's found you, dear. He's been the odd man out for far too long; it hurts me to see him alone." Bella said "You don't mind, then? That I'm... all wrong for him?" Esme said "No. You're what he wants. It will work out, somehow," They had formed teams. Edward was far out in the left field, Carlisle stood between the first and second bases, and Alice held the ball, positioned on the pitcher's mound. Emmett was swinging an aluminum bat; it whistled almost untraceable through the air. I waited for him to approach home plate, but then as he took his stance, that he was already there farther from the pitcher's mound than I would have thought possible.

Jasper stood several feet behind him, catching for the other team. Of course, none of them had gloves. Esme called in a clear voice "All right, Batter up."Alice stood straight, deceptively motionless. Her style seemed to be stealth rather than an intimidating windup. She held the ball in both hands at her waist, and then, like the strike of a cobra, her right hand flicked out and the ball smacked into Jasper's hand. Bella said, "Was that a strike?" I explained "If they don't hit it, it's a strike," Jasper hurled the ball back to Alice's waiting hand. She permitted herself a brief grin. And then her hand spun out again. This time the bat somehow made it around in time to smash into the invisible ball. The crack of impact was shattering, thunderous; it echoed off the mountains. The ball shot like a meteor above the field, flying deep into the surrounding forest. Bella said "Home run," Esme said "Wait," listening intently, one hand raised. Emmett was a blur around the bases, Carlisle shadowing him. I realized Edward was missing. Esme shouted "Out!" Edward sprang from the fringe of the trees, ball in his upraised hand, his wide grin visible even to us. Esme explained, "Emmett hits the hardest, but Edward runs the fastest." The inning continued but It was impossible to keep up with the speed at which the ball flew, the rate at which their bodies raced around the field. I learned the other reason they waited for a thunderstorm to play when Jasper, trying to avoid Edward's infallible fielding, hit a ground ball toward Carlisle. Carlisle ran into the ball and then raced Jasper to first base.

When they collided, the sound was like the crash of two massive falling boulders. Bella jumped up in concern, but they were unscathed. Esme said "Safe," Emmett's team was up by one, and Rosalie managed to flit around the bases after tagging up on one of Emmett's long flies when Edward caught the third out. He sprinted to Bella's side, sparkling with excitement."What do you think?" she said "One thing's for sure, I'll never be able to sit through dull old Major League Baseball again." I scoffed "As if you could to begin with." she said  "I am a little disappointed," he was so confused "Why?" she said "Well, it would be nice if I could find just one thing you didn't do better than everyone else on the planet." he said "I'm up," heading for the plate. He played intelligently, keeping the ball low, out of the reach of Rosalie's always-ready hand in the outfield, gaining two bases like lightning before Emmett could get the ball back in play. Carlisle knocked one so far out of the field that he and Edward both made it in. Alice slapped them high fives. The score constantly changed as the game continued, and they razzed each other like any street ballplayers as they took turns with the lead. Occasionally Esme would call them to order. The thunder rumbled on, but thankfully we stayed dry.
