Good Seeing You Again (You Me At Six Fan Fiction)

Chapter 29

*Jade’s P.O.V*

So, it's been a week since we've all left sixth form and to be honest, you have no idea how much I miss the place already. Dan's been amazing, well everyone has, but he's been perfection. It's only Lucie and I that are planning on continuing with education and going to University. Holly, Laura and Georgie have gone straight into jobs that they enjoy. Lucky them. Dan's helped me pick a University that I like so far, Josh is a bit useless in that area so the three of us have been slaving away trying to pick the right one. Lucie and I have narrowed down the list to just one place; University of Surrey which looks freakin' amazing. The guys are still sticking with being a band and already have been doing as many local gigs as possible, but they're just going round in circles to be honest and they know it. So, they're going on this tour bus thing and making their own way to success. They'll get there soon, everyone knows it. 

"Get ready gorgeous, I'm spending the day with you in the wonderful outdoors! Be ready in 20. Love you!xxxx" 

Perfect. I've been stuck in my house for 4 days in a row now, and I need some excitement in my life! Right 20 minutes.. He's hopeful!

I swear that's the quickest shower I have ever had! You can tell how much I love Dan... I normally take at least half an hour in the shower. I blow dried my hair and put a cute french plait across the top of my head to keep my fringe out the way, it's gotten way too long to even call it a fringe anymore. I straightened the rest of my hair and made it look at least half decent... My roots really need doing. Actually, I'm getting bored of plain black, think I may dye it a bright red or purple now I've left. Like I said, I need some excitement in my life and hey, dying my hair is excitement to me. Don't judge me! I chose a blue checked shirt to match my denim short shorts and my new white converse with multiple tongues which were rainbow coloured to match the laces which I got when Lucie and I did that massive shopping trip. I added some awesome crystal skull earrings and a matching bracelet. I kept my make up minimal; Foundation, mascara and eyeliner. Hmm, 2 minutes to spare. Not bad at all considering. I started to make myself a quick coffee before seeing Dan making his way up the path. Even though we've been together for around 2 and a half years, he never fails to create butterflies whenever I'm with him. I went to meet him before he had the chance to knock. 

"Morning beautiful." Dan pulled me into a bone crunching hug... He's been hugging Josh too much. 

"Morning handsome." He pecked my lips after I pulled him into the house. "I'll just get my bag and then I'm ready." 

"Okay, I'll just be here finishing off your cof- No wait, tea." A cheeky wink was sent in my direction before I left him. 

"Ready." I walked back into the kitchen to find Dan searching through all the cupboards. "What are you doing may I ask?" 

"You don't own any pop-tarts... What kind of person doesn't own pop-tarts?" And this is who I'm dating? Oh dear. 

"Obviously, I don't like pop-tarts babe." 

"WHAT?! How can anyone not like pop-tarts? You're a freak." I swear he's secretly 5. 

"Me, but remember, I'm your freak. Now are you going to stop moaning about what's in my cupboards and go or what drummer boy?" I even did his signature pose; Knee bent, hand on hip and checking the nails out. 

"And I wouldn't have you any other way. I've had my paddy, now let's go gorgeous." And with that, he swept me off my feet. Literally, and carried me out the door before locking up.
