Chapter 4: Hospital Visits

The door opened to Tara's room, everyone standing up as someone they didn't know walked in. Followed by Sam, who looked at all of them before her eyes landed on Tara.  

Sam quickly rushed to Tara's side. Tara looked at Indy for a second, shocked that Sam was there. But Indy just shrugged in reply before Tara turned towards her sister. 

"How are you feeling?" Sam asked Tara, with a half-smile, showing the worry Sam had for her younger sister. 

"You came?" Tara asked confused, ignoring Sam's question. 

"Of course, I came." Sam smiled but Indy rolled her eyes as she and Amber made eye contact, "This is my boyfriend, Ricky." 

"I'm sorry if I'm intruding." Ricky replied and Indy shot him glare, causing him to back away slightly, "She's scary." 

"You get used to it." Tara replied before smiling at her best friend, Tara grabbing Indy's hand as Indy continued to glare at Sam and Ricky. 

"Well, this is Chad and Mindy, the first pair of twins. This is Wes and Indianna, second pair of twins, and then Amber." Sam introduced everyone as Indy looked towards Sam. 

"It's Indy." Tara clarified for Indy as she looked at Ricky. 

"I used to babysit them all." Sam sighed as she walked towards Indy pulling her into a hug, "It's good to see you." 

"Yeah, you are too." Indy sighed as she melted into Sam's arms, she hated Sam, but at the same time she's always loved Sam. 

"Where's mom?" Sam asked, turning toward Tara who sighed along with Indy. 

"She's at a conference in London, she called me earlier." Tara answered her sister's question as Indy jumped into the conversation. 

"Yep, for all of ten minutes." Indy said sarcastically as Tara looked at her with sad eyes. 

"Uh, look guys, Tara's really tired maybe we should just give her some space." Amber mentioned as they all agreed and left the room, everyone except for Sam. 

Indy looked back at the door from where she was sitting. Wes was with Chad. Amber was the only one to notice how uneasy Indy looked. 

"She's okay. Don't worry." Amber said, taking Indy's hand and rubbing circles. 

"I just get worried. She doesn't deserve any of this. I mean first she's almost killed, and then her sister who left her comes to town." Indy replied shrugging her shoulders, "It's just all a little weird you know." 

"Yeah, what kind of phsyco would try and kill an innocent girl." Amber scoffed pulling her hand away from Indy. 

Indy looked at Amber, wondering what was going on inside her head. Something was off about Amber and Indy knew it. She was almost positive that Amber was the killer. 

All the friends gathered to play pool while Indy stayed at the hospital. She wanted to ensure that someone was with Tara. Even if there was a police officer right outside. 

"So, what's her sister like?" Liv asked as she looked at everyone noticing that Indy wasn't there, "And where's Indianna?" 

"Where do you think?" Wes asked and Liv nodded, knowing that there was no way that Indy was going to leave Tara alone. 

"And as for Sam, Sam is so cool." Chad said looking down at his girlfriend. 

"You only say that because she let you wear Pokémon onesies to bed for a year." Mindy said giving her brother a look as he pointed at her. 

"That's true." Chad said nodding his head with a big smile on his face, "That's a true statement." 

"No, trust me, Sam is not cool." Amber replied looking over to Liz, "Not to mention she's hella suspicious. Except for when it comes to Indy, Indy knows more about Sam than Tara does. I mean maybe Sam's changed; I just don't want to see Tara hurt again. Sam and Indy have some sort of strange bound, it probably breaks Tara to pieces."  

"So, are you protecting Tara from her own sister and best friend?" Wes asked looking at Amber in disgust as she returned the look. 

"Well, someone has to. And you won't because Indianna is your sister." Amber said as their friends watched the encounter. 

"Okay so Indianna's not good for her, and now her family's off limits too." Wes said unimpressed as Indy showed up, unnoticed by the group. 

"Mm Motive, 'if my sister can't have her, no one can.' You and Indy are cute that's for sure." Mindy said, no one noticing that Indy had showed up as she watched everything quietly, "We all know that you have a crush on Tara, but you'd do anything for your sister to have her." 

"Okay come on, Mindy." Wes sighed as Indy finally came out from where she was standing. 

"But we're all suspects." Indy said glaring at Amber whose face fell in shock, "Every single one of us." 

"Except maybe Liv and Indy." Mindy said out of nowhere causing the two girls to smile. 

"Thank you." They said in unison. 

"Your way to boring to be a psyco." Mindy said pointing at Liv before pointing towards Indy, "And you were the one that saved Tara, plus your way to protective over your friends to be the one that kills them." 

"Yo, Liv you want a real drink or are you going to sit at this uglier kids table?" Vince asked as he walked over clapping his hands together. 

"Alright that's it, I've had enough of you, you fucking creep." Indy said as she went to attack the man, but Wes held her back while Chad took care of it.
