'She was the one that did all this...? Should I have just exorcised her on the spot...?'

Teru asked himself, amused, shocked, having second thoughts.

He was trying to be nice to the girl and hoped that she'd comply and be somewhat grateful she was brought into a nice, warm home.

Instead, the brat had left a noticeable dent on the floor, one of their portraits were on the floor, and the curry Kou had made overnight for her had gone cold. It was true he was only keeping her at bay, though, because she was the one who had led him back to his own house the other day.

'That strange presence was coming from her, but I can't be sure whether...'

Teru sighed. He gazed at the girl, still sound asleep on the couch. She had a passive look on her face, brows slightly furrowed. It was impossible telling what exactly was going on in her mind.

Tiara poked her cheek, Kou looking at the girl with concern in his eyes. He and Tiara gently let down a blanket on her body. You could mistake her for a corpse, her sleeping position was hilariously stiff.

Teru couldn't quite figure it out. Her presence was something he'd never felt before all his years living as an exorcist.

This girl.

What was she?

.

You were stuck in a vast landscape. Flowers followed your footsteps, and every time your foot touched the ground below you, it made a gentle thumping sound. There was nothing here except flowers. It was empty, and everything you saw was white.

You squinted your eyes and a faint yellow could be seen ahead. You desperately ran toward it, thinking it was an exit, but the pristine white landscape suddenly turned grey, then black.

The floor turned to stairs, leading you into an empty pit below-

"-Who is she, nii-chan?"a gentle- cheerful- voice. The pit, stairs, and landscape all faded away before my eyes. A warm, yellow light then filled my vision.

A small child, no older than five, was waving her hand in front of my face. Her wide, blue eyes were now looking into my own. They were sparkling. Kind of like the stars, I thought.

"...What?" I wiped my eyes and looked at the girl again. She just laughed in response. In her arms was a small doll, which she was hugging tightly.

"Here! I love your outfit so much! I want one too... it's really pretty looking!" She smiled, spiky hair flowing down to her shoulders. "Where'd you get those pins?" She fawned over my clothes, repeating the word "cute" over and over again.

"So, you're finally awake." I looked to the right. There were two blonde haired males. The other boy beside him was calling the little girl over.

'Kou and Teru...'

"H-Here! Some fried egg!" The young Minamoto shoved a small plate with a fried egg on it. There was a happy face drawn on it with ketchup. It smelled...miraculous.

'Cute.'

I took the plate and took a bite out of the egg, savouring it's flavour. It was shaped almost perfectly, and was surprisingly tasty on top of that.

"D-Do you like it?' he asked. He was playing around with his fingers nervously, sweating a little.

"It's good. I think it's the best fried egg I've ever had." I said in a monotonous tone. But he didn't really seem to mind. I could tell he was trying to hide how accomplished he felt.

"I'm the one who brought you here yesterday. I found you wandering off in the streets. It seemed like you were lost, so I just brought you in." He smiled. "I'm Minamoto Teru, but you can just call me Teru."

A shiver ran down my spine. His smile reminded me of the smile he gave to supernaturals, which was definitely not a good thing.

'What did I do...'

The good cook here," he ruffled Kou's hair, "is Kou. And this is Tiara." She was staring at me still, inspecting my pins in awe.

I was looking at the three siblings, a bit bewildered. Was I being delusional? There was a really high chance that I was.

"You can all just call me by my first name. I'm... L/N Y/N. Nice to meet you."

.

I was sitting at the dining table in silence. A warm light filled the room. There was a large window right in front of the kitchen, which I thought was nice, since I had the opportunity to look out the window during my stay here at any time. Even while cooking, maybe.

From where I was sitting, I could see a fence, the moon, and stars.

'Not too bad for someone who likes looking at the stars, but not going outside.'

I coughed nervously. 'I wonder...am  actually in the TBHK universe? I wonder...if Yashiro and Hanako exist here too.'

Now was the time to come up with a lame-ass excuse.

"A-Also. Thank you for bringing me into the house, I'm sorry about the trouble. My parents kicked me out of my house yesterday, I was not in a very good mood..." You felt pathetic lying. It wasn't that you had much of a choice from the beginning.

"No worries. Out parents aren't home often anyway, so it's not much of a deal." Teru took a seat from across the table. I gulped and stretched my hands, trying to appear not nervous.

'It's been a while since I had a decent conversation with someone...'

I frowned unknowingly.

"...You're welcome to stay as long as you like. " He smiled, but it felt unbearably cold, another chilling feeling taking over your body.

Kou handed you and Teru a glass of water.

"I- thank you, I guess." I stared at my reflection. My hair looked like a bird's nest. Not that it ever looked that great.

"I can tell you aren't from around here." I widened my eyes a little in curiosity.

"I'm not, I... took a bus to get here." I lied, my hands sweating. I smiled a twisted smile, oh god, this is not going well.

'That did not sound convincing at all.'

"Seeing what situation you're in, you'll probably have to move schools. If you are the same age as I am, we can talk to the principal of the school if you can attend classes there." He stared at his own cup of water.

'It's been a while since I went to school...'

I looked out the window.

'How am I going to survive living in a house with a possible sadist, have to deal with fucking supernatural beings, and go to school?'

Though maybe I could see Hanako and Yashiro? If this all isn't some nonsensical dream.

Things suddenly got much more interesting with those two involved...
