Memorized Speech: The Topics I Have Thought About

The time I spend on pondering about this speech is pretty much long. I spent my whole Christmas break trying to figure out what topic I will use for my speech. Then the night after Christmas, while singing songs and trying to memorize the declamation that I am supposed to use for this performance task, an idea hit me. Why don't I just create a speech on how I spent my time trying to figure out what topic I'll use?!

And then there goes me, scribbling in my phone, creating this speech from scratch.

Like what I've said, a lot of topics popped up on my mind but I can't just seem to find the right words and sentences to emphasize that topic. My first choice is trying to re create my recent essay about the epoverty affects our economy into a speech, but then again this topic seems to be more serious and repetitive. I doubt my target audience, which you my classmates, will listen to my speech without getting bored or sleepy.

My second choice is about Fermi Paradox, if you're really into astrological stuffs, then you've probably heard about this paradox somewhere in the web, particularly on YouTube. Yet again, this topic might interest my target audience, but my mind started to laze out, so I just buried down this topic.

And finally, the last topic that I pondered a lot if I should use it or not, is a declamation. It's a declamation I have performed before when I was on fifth grade, and I already did memorize half of it, but because I worry about having a sudden falsetto while reciting the whole thing, I decided to use this declamation as a back up plan.

I racked my brain if I could find something more interesting to use. Time passed by and here I am now, standing in front of you all reciting my experience on how I procrastinated on choosing my topic.
