Aspen: TW

A door slamming wakes me from my slumber and I grown slightly. Angry whisper fill my ears and my eye lids slowly open. I was alone in the car, Elijah and Axel standing by the window arguing while Lorenzo and Asher were sitting on the ground. My eyes roam outside for Alexander but I can't find him.

I pull myself closer to the window, hoping to get a better view of the car park we were sat in until I realised that there was a massive fucking jet just outside. It is a clean white colour with the name "Bianchi" printed across in fancy letters. Holy shit.

I go to move again before an overwhelming pain overcomes my body, making my head spin. Agonising pain ripples through my ribs and I slightly lift my top, making sure no one was looking in despite the blackout windows. My stomach and chest were a terrifying purple with bright red slices over them. Some were even yellow and looked infected. The purple on my chest were hickeys, given to me by Adam himself. It proved to me that he had ownership of me, that I could never escape his grasp. Not even in death.

I sure hope the fucker is in hell.

Deciding to forget about it, I open the car door before I had chance to think and all eyes turn to me. Elijah and the youngest two gave me a smile while Axel glared at me. I glared right back. Elijah coughed, cutting off our stare and Axel looks away first. I grin. 2-0.

"Hey sweetheart, sleep well?" Elijah asks, stepping closer to me with his arms reached out.

I stumble back into the car in blind panic, not even processing my actions. When I feel no contact against my skin, I frown in confusion. I flick my eyes to meet Elijah's who is staring at me in some sort of state between shock and worry.

"Yeah, I slept fine. Thank you." I tighten my grip on the door handle. Just incase. Nit like they have the keys or anything if i were to escape into the car. Idiot.

He smiles at me, guilt swirling in his eyes. "Okay, we will be boarding now. Let's go meet up with Alex."

Axel storms off, stomping up the stairs past an extremely annoyed Alexander and a pale pilot. Elijah rolls his eyes and mutters something under his breath, following him up in a jog and pulling Alexander to the side. He whispers quietly in his ear and they both go and find Axel.

Asher and Lorenzo stand up from the floor carefully and slowly stand by each of my sides as if not to scare me. I glance up at them both cautiously and follow their lead. They are far away enough so they can't touch me, but close enough to protect me.

"So Aspen, what do you do for fun?" Questions Asher lightly, timing his steps with mine.

"Well, I used to play rugby." Not anymore. That dreams long gone.

"You still play?" Lorenzo turns to me with a glimmering of hope in his eyes.

"Not anymore." I mutter angrily, looking down at my scuffed shoes.

We continued up into the plane in silence where I then realise I didn't pick up the fucking rucksack. The plane was already beginning to take off and I slam my head back onto the sofa behind me with a groan.

"What's wrong, Bambina?" Alexander asks softly, closing his computer screen and giving me all his attention. His green eyes meet mine and I'm reminded deeply of my mother. God, how I loved her.

"Probably just wants attention, right?" Axel sneers, looking at me in disgust as he and Asher are playing a video game on a big screen.

"Not cool, Axel." Asher shakes his head, putting down the remote and sitting on the other side of me so I'm trapped between him and Lorenzo with Elijah and Alexander across from us working.

"Well maybe if this little-" Axel begins, slamming the remote on the very expensive-looking glass table.

"I dare you to finish that sentence." Everybody looks at me in shock and I shrink back, uncomfortable with the attention. I don't know what came over me, I'm just sick of Axel already, throwing his little tantrums and thinking he can disrespect me like that.

"Don't make me hurt you, little sister." He growls out, stalking towards me with a menacing look on his face. Instead of being intimidated like I usually would with Adam, I let out a loud laugh with a snort.

"Woah, who let the pig out of the pen?" Lorenzo remarks, earning a light punch from me.

"Good one." Asher laughs, high fiving him over the top of my head. I roll my eyes playfully, giving them both a shove.

My laughter dies down and I lay back. My body closes on in itself, making sure that I'm small as possible so I don't touch the animals sat beside me. Realising that Axel has stormed out, again, I pick at my nail beds.

"I will kill that boy," Elijah grumbles, standing up and following in Axel's direction. He sends me a comforting smile as he leaves, making me feel slightly better.

"Back to my question bambina, is everything okay?" Alexander asks after glaring at the door.

"I left my fucking backpack in the car." I mutter, rubbing a hand down my face with another groan. Everything I own is in that bag. Things that I need.

"First, language," he send me a pointed look while I just shrug, "second, it's right above your head."

I glance up and realise he was right. My bag is laid down on the storage holding above our heads, just out of reach.

"Oh." I say like an idiot, watching as Asher and Lorenzo laugh at me once again. "It's not that funny."

"Oh yes it is." Lorenzo nods frantically, expressing his agreement with Asher.

"Hey, Asp?" Lorenzo asks, taking deep breaths with a small smirk on his face.

"Yes, Lorenzo?" I say tiredly, bouncing my leg up and down as I feel him scooting closer to me. My breathing hitches as our legs accidentally touch and I jump back only to find another hard body.

I smile apologetically to Asher and he waves me off. "Do you need a ladder to reach your bag or do we need something bigger?" He draws out, pretending to think about the answer while Asher barks out a laugh. Stupid dogs.

"No need when I can just kick you in the balls and climb on your back when you double over." I smile sweetly at him, feeling a lot more comfortable now that Axel isn't in the room. The atmosphere was tense before, nobody wanted to say the wrong thing. Now it's light and joking. And even though I don't trust them and I cannot allow myself to get close with them, this moment was good.

Lorenzo's jaw drops in shock, fear painted in his face and before anybody could move, he sprinted out of the room screaming for help. We chuckle at him and I move over into his space on the couch, distancing myself from Asher. Asher glances at me from the corner of his eye before standing and sitting next to Alexander.

His acts nonchalant as he sinks into the cushion, ignoring his brothers questioning look from over his computer.

Then, silence.
