You wake up to the sun setting. There is a knock on the door, which wakes you up in the first place, but something feels wrong. Your vision was quite blurry and you felt the slightest bit dizzy.

You rub your eyes in an attempt to see more clearly, but it doesn't really do anything.

There is another knock on the door.

"Coming.." You yell.

You fix your hair on the way to the door and gently open it. There stood Scaramouche.

"I woke you." He states, raising an eyebrow at your sleepy face.

"Yeah, but it's alright. Did you need something?"

He shakes his head. "I just wanted to ask if you're hungry yet. We could go eat something at Good Hunter. The Fatui pays." You could see slight amusement in his eyes when looking up at your hair. "But fix yourself up first. You look like a mess."

You nod, snorting quietly. "Sure, just give me a minute." You close the door once again and walk over to the mirror.

What's wrong with my vision today? Feels like allergies, almost.

You go to the bathroom and splash some water in your face. It helps a bit, but this fog over your eyes remains. Are you getting sick after all?

You quickly get ready and join Scaramouche in the hall. With a small wave, you greet Arnold while walking by.

"So, how is your room?" The Balladeer asks.

"It's amazing. I'm so relieved to sleep on a normal bed again and I even have a chimney in my room!" You ramble.

Passing the front desk, the douchebag from before eyes you creepily. You stop for a second and stare at him. Scaramouche notices and inspects the shady guy. His nametag reads "Ian".

"What are you looking at?" Scaramouche harshly asks, crossing his arms. The guy quickly looks down in obedience.

The two of you continue and the Balladeer glances over to you. "You seem familiar with the vermin at the desk." With a single nod you sigh. "Yeah, he's a creep."

In a matter of maybe 2 minutes you've reached a small establishment called Good Hunter.

Man, this town is tiny.

Scaramouche orders you both some simple cream stew, carelessly throwing the Mora at the girl behind the counter. You can't help but feel a bit bad for her.

The two of you sit down at one of the tables next to the little stand and enjoy the stew. It's cold out, the perfect weather for this kind of food, warming you right up.

"How was your meeting? You've been gone for quite a while." You ask in an attempt to strike up some conversation while blowing on a piece of carrot.

"It was alright, boring as always." He yawned. Okay, that seems to be the end of small talk.

While eating in silence, he suddenly speaks up again, placing his spoon down on the plate.

"I'll have some free time tomorrow afternoon, anything you want to do?"

Your eyes widen. "You want to do something together?" A smile spreads over your face.

He scrunches his nose, disgusted at your sudden excitement. It's simply unnecessary in his eyes. "Don't make me regret asking."

"Well," you start. "I haven't exactly explored Mondstadt yet, so I don't know what options we have."

The Balladeer hums. "Me too. I guess we could always go to the Cat's Tail. It's a popular bar that is right around the corner- quite literally." He points behind you and you turn around to see a sign. "Even if we don't drink, they have good food and some kind of card game." He sighs.

"It sounds unnecessarily boring, though, maybe we shouldn't-"

"No, I like the idea!" You smile. Scaramouche looks up at you and closes his eyes.

"Fine, then we'll go there tomorrow."

When entering the hotel later, you're already staring at the front desk. To your relief, Ian is not there.

You wish Scaramouche a good night and enter your room, immediately lighting the fireplace.

Exhausted, you sit down on the edge of the bed.

Why am I this worn out? It was such a short day and I literally only went out to eat.

Man, I'm getting some fat nostalgia rn
