Chapter 49

The next morning, I open my eyes with a yawn, stretching my arms.

Sleep last night felt strange. I can't exactly put my finger on it but it was weird nonetheless. I mean... Kakyoin and I were so tired, we fell asleep in our clothes!

I rub my eyes as I stand up but when I look down, I notice I'm not wearing my usual clothes.

"What the fuck?" I panic, then noticing that I'm not in my own bed.

I divert my eyes over to the other hotel bed to see myself asleep. What is happening?! Am I dreaming?! I run into the bathroom to wash my face with water but as I look at my reflection...

That's not me!

Why the fuck do I look like Kakyoin?!

I run back into the room, pinching myself. So I'm definitely awake. This must be the work of a Stand user.

I shake... myself awake and I see... my eyes open. That's such a weird way to explain that. What I'm guessing is that I'm now Kakyoin and Kakyoin is now me.

We somehow swapped bodies.

Kakyoin begins to stir awake, opening his eyes as he looks up at me. Well... himself.

"Huh?!" He jumps back away from me, looking at me as if I have 10 pairs of eyes.

"Nori... just calm down, okay? I know this seems weird but it's me, Y/N." I try to calm him. It seems weird to look at myself in a sort of out of body experience.

"W-what? Why are you...? Am I- why are you me?!" Kakyoin asks, completely freaked out.

I gently take his, or should I say, my hands, pulling him from the bed. I walk with him towards the bathroom mirror and he gasps in shock.

"Somehow, we swapped bodies Nori. I'm gonna assume it was a Stand user. Maybe we should find the others." I suggest, walking back into the room.

"Oh you're a smart one aren't you?" A laugh comes from the windowsill.

"Naunet?!" I exclaim at the woman who took our photo yesterday.

She laughs, kicking her legs back and forth with a cheeky grin. I stand closer to Kakyoin, just in case she tries to attack us.

"Oh dear, I don't mean any harm. I just want to mess with you a little bit. Have a little fun." She smiles and I tighten up my fists.

"Are you working for Dio?" I calmly ask.

"Dio? Oh I've heard of him. And no, I don't work for him. He means bad news. Like I said, I'm only here to have a little fun with you but it seems like you've already found out my abilities." Naunet smiles.

At least she doesn't work for Dio.

With one last smile, Naunet jumps from the window, making a run for it down the street. Kakyoin and I rush after her, calling her name.

"There you are! Kakyoin, what's wrong?" Polnareff turns to me.

"I'm not Nori! I'm Y/N! A Stand user is messing with us and swapped our bodies around!" I exclaim, looking around for Naunet.

"I don't understand."

"Polnareff, I don't think Y/N could have made it any clearer." Kakyoin says with my own voice.

Without a second to respond, I drag Kakyoin away from Polnareff and Jotaro, looking around for Naunet. She can't have gotten far.

There!

"Nori, she's over there by that alleyway!" I tell him as we run over to her.

She sees us and tries to back away, knowing she's outnumbered. She has a guilty look on her face.

"Naunet, please. You have to change us back. We're on a really important mission to save my mothers life. Please." I beg her.

She stays quiet, the guilty look on her face getting even grittier. If that's even possible.

"Okay. I'm sorry... I just wanted to have some fun. I haven't used my Stand in a long time and I could tell you two were Stand users when you came into my shop." She explains.

I feel a wave of nausea rush over me and my vision blurs for a moment. The next thing I know, I'm stood in my own body next to Kakyoin. Oh thank fuck!

"Thank you, Naunet." Kakyoin thanks, placing an arm around my waist with a smile as he looks at me.

"You two are very special. Look after each other. Especially on this trip of yours. It sounds dangerous." She says.

We nod our head, watching as she walks away. However, she stops before she leaves and turns to me.

"Oh... before I forget. I know I said Dio means trouble and that part is true... but I do have infor for you." Naunet says, pulling a piece of paper from her pocket. It has a little drawing of some sort of arrow on it.

"I heard that Dio has a hold on some of these. If you ever find one, take it. I don't know why he has them or what they're for but I think they're important." Naunet places the piece of paper in my hand.

Kakyoin and I share a look before Naunet walks away wishing us luck for our journey.

"Well that was a weird way to start the morning." Kakyoin laughs as we head back towards the hotel to find the others.

However, when we get back, everyone is gone. I'm guessing they went out somewhere. I'm betting they're dealing with their own Stand problems. Since we were all split up, it seems the perfect time to attack.

What a bizarre morning.
