Many years pass as Nori and I watch our daughter grow up. We would constantly take her to see my mother which put a smile on her face. She also misses Jolyne too. They haven't seen each other in a while.
I mean... Jotaro has been distant with her for a while. He never told his wife or Jolyne about Stands. But he did tell Nori and I that he doesn't want to get his family involved. That's why he's been distant.
Nori and I continue to work with the Speedwagon Foundation and our lovely daughter has now joined us. She's 20 years old now.
Mayumi gained her Stand when she was 17. It reminds me of when I gained my Stand. She came running to find Nori and I, shouting about seeing something staring at her in the corner of her room.
She calls her Stand, Gilded Lily. Her Stand was pure white with lilies covering it. There are a few spots of gold across her body. Her ability is more pure yet so mencacing at the same time. Her Stand can cast mist across the ground which can either knock someone unconscious or it can act as a poison.
"Y/N! I need a word." Jotaro calls me over as I nod to the Speedwagon Foundation worker I was talking to.
"What's wrong? You seem... I dunno. You seem worried but also... confused?" I try to read him but he just glares at me and places something down on the table.
I look closely to see 3 plane tickets.
"You and Kakyoin are coming with me to Italy. There's someone there we must speak to." Jotaro says.
"Who?"
"Dio's son."
What? Dio has a son? But we killed him years ago. Unless... no. No surely he didn't survive!
"How is that even possible? We killed Dio remember? Who even is this kid?" I ask, needing more information.
Jotaro then throws down a set of files on a table. I look at them, observing the single photo of a boy with long golden hair. Yep, that's definitely Dio's son.
"His name is Giorno Giovana. He's the head of an Italian Mafia which goes by the name of Passione. I want us to speak to him about Dio. He needs to know about his father." Jotaro finishes.
"Are you really sure this is a good idea? It says here that he has one of the most powerful Stands known to man! What if he lashes out at us?" I worry.
"He won't. I trust him. Plus, he deserves to know about his father." Jotaro finishes.
He is right but I can't help but worry. If this Giorno is as powerful as described then surely he could easily kill us. So we're gonna have to be careful.
"Okay. I'll go speak to Nori. If you really trust this guy then I'll take your word for it." I nod as he walks off.
When I think about it, Giorno must not like Dio much either. He probably didn't even know he existed. Dio was an asshole who gives a shit about himself and no one else.
"Is everything alright darling?" Nori asks, looking down at the papers in my hands.
"Yeah. Jotaro said that we're going to Italy to speak to a man named Giorno Giovana. He's the head of an Italian Mafia and Dio's son." I sigh.
"Dio has a son?" Nori looks confused and worried.
"He does. I don't think he was ever aware of this though. He didn't seem like the type of guy to care either." I scowl slightly.
A moments silence passes as the two of us look at the photo on the documents. I can understand why Jotaro wants us to speak to him but we also can't trust that he won't attack us.
"I think we should give him a chance." Nori says as if he can read my mind.
"You think?"
"Yeah. If something does happen, you have your Requiem ability so you can use that. Apparently Polnareff has met this guy too. Maybe we should ask him." Nori suggests.
I agree, dialing the phone which sits on the desk neatly beside the files on this Giorno guy.
"Bonjour! How may I help you?" I hear Polnareff's cheery voice on the other end.
"Hey, it's just me Pol. I was just wondering... you met that Giorno guy years ago right?" I ask.
"Oh right! Yeah I did. He seemed like a genuine kid. He's nothing like Dio at all. You remember the man we fought back in Italy? Diavolo was it? Well he came back. Giorno and the rest of his gang took care of him." Polnareff informs me.
He helped take down the pink haired guy? Giorno must be strong indeed.
"Okay great. Is there anything else we need to know?" I question.
"Well yeah actually, there is one more thing." Polnareff says.
"Well? What is it?"
"Giorno also has a Requiem ability like you do. After.you told me about how you ontained it, I did a bit of research myself. The only way Giorno could defeat Diavolo was to strike himself with the arrow. His ability is powerful so don't do anything stupid." Polnareff finishes.
That's a lot of information to take in. But by the sounds of it, Giorno trusts Polnareff so he must trust us. He's on our side.
"Okay. Thank you Polnareff. Stay safe out there okay? We all miss you." I smile.
We say our goodbyes before hanging up the phone. I turn to Nori who is looking at me with a small smile.
"Well I guess our next trip is to Italy once again." I smile.
The two of us leave the room and head back home, preparing for what is about to come.
