Chapter 6

Taehyung was still traumatized from what transpired two days prior. Duri had dragged him by the hair as soon as they had closed the door in Jungkook's face. He kept on throwing insults at the omega, flexing his fist in the omega's hair.

Even though Duri was an asshole, he never really beat the omega. Not that it makes it better. He has tightened his fist around his wrists, which caused bruises. Omega's easily bruise, and slowly heal, so the bruises last for long.

Luckily, Ayeong didn't wake up through all this, bless her heart. He did shuffle around and frown but she did not wake up.

The asshole kept on screaming at the omega for hours, till he got a phone call. It was his affair partner. He had told Taehyung to his face that he was going to sleep at Siwoo's house and not to expect him. He also told the omega that he shouldn't even think of leaving the penthouse, and he'll know if he did.

It has been two days since that day, and two days since he saw the alpha. His mark, although a bit faded, kept on burning. A sign that Duri was actively cheating on him. The cheating was also the reason the mate mark had partially faded.

He was glad and sad that Duri had not came back home. He didn't know how much insults he could take. It does not help that Ayeong has been a little fussy. It's a mission and a half to get her to eat, let alone to sleep.

She's also been telling Taehyung that their Nini is coming to get them. That confuses Taehyung. Whenever the omega asks the pup what that means she always says, "Nini wolfie save us fwom appa, mama." Then she goes back to what she was doing.

This puzzled Taehyung. Had she heard what her alpha father said to the omega? Had she witnessed what the alpha did? Did she understand that her alpha father was a bad man? These were just but a few of the questions swirling in his mind.

He got startled by a door banging shut. Taehyung could tell just by Duri's presence that the alpha was mad, livid even. He got Ayeong and whispered, "Go to your room baby, mama will come get you, okay?" Ayeong looked confused but nodded. She jogged up to her room, taking her drawings with her.

Just as she closed the door, Duri entered the living room. He dropped his suitcase on the sofa and proceeded to go to the master bedroom. He didn't even greet the omega.

The alpha came down after a few minutes, with multiple files in hand and sat in the dining room table. "G-good afternoon D-Duri," Taehyung stuttered out. The alpha grunted in response and gathered his files before standing up to go to his study.

It was at that time that Ayeong chose to come down the stairs running, and she crashed on to the alpha, making his papers fly then scatter on the floor. Taehyung's eyes widened and his breathing picked up when the pungent bitter scent of the alpha permeated in the room and the hallway.

Ayeong's eyes widened as well as her smile. Poor pup was oblivious to her alpha father's silent wrath. "Appa wook! Wook!" She exclaimed jumping on the balls of her feet waving her drawing in Duri's face.

"What the fuck Ayeong?!" He boomed. He looked like a crazed man, who just finally lost it. His breathing was shallow, his eyes had widened and became red, his whole face was also turning red.

"Yeongie show appa dwawing," The pup whispered out. Seeing her father look so deranged alarmed her. It scared her. And for the first time in her life, she was terrified of her father. Pure terror flushed through her entire body.

"I don't want to see your stupid drawing! I don't want to see your stupid face right now!" The alpha boomed. The pup shivered at the tone and the words uttered to her, and that was Taehyung's last draw.
