Finding Paradise

Chapter 13

"I- Me and Taehyung go way back. Even beyond Kogarashi and Majime," Seungcheol whispered.

To say the people in the room were gobsmacked would an understatement of the year. They were perturbed. Many questions where running through their minds. But they all had at least 1 question in common.

What the hell happened?

"What happened?" Yoongi asked. His tone held a hint of curiosity, even though it was mostly because he wanted to know more about his ward than just plain ol' nosey curiosity.

"Bear is going to get mad at me, But i guess I have to tell you guys?" Seungcheol whispered and pulled his shoulders back and sat up straight. Causing a mirror reaction from everyone else in the room.

"Tae and i know each other from Daegu," The man started causing brows to furrow. The omega's file said nothing about living in Daegu.

Yet, even though they had this question, they didn't voice it out, they let the alpha continue his story. 

"It was him, me and his older brother. At first it was always the three of us," The man continued. "Bear was always timid, shy and quiet, so Shua and  I did everything to shield him from the cruel world. We did everything we could and for a while, we succeeded. We kept him safe."

He sighed and his postured visibly stuttered before he fixed it and sat back straight. However, he did flinch when Seokjin touched his back. It was miniscule but noticeable. 

"We'd take him to school together with Shua, we had people to look out for him secretly at school since we weren't allowed on the premises. We'd fetch him after school and go home together, then me and Shua would leave for basketball practice or to hang out with the boys," His breath shook and to the untrained eye, it looked like he was cold.

"We shouldn't have. We shouldn't have left him alone. We should've took him with us. We should've stayed with him. We-" He was cut of by Jeongguk who rushed to him to reassure him, he didn't know what about but he did what felt right. He sat next to his hyung and patted his shoulder firmly.

"One day we came back and we found him bleeding and unconscious on the porch. He was badly beaten. So badly. So we rushed him to the hospital. It was pretty bad Hyung. Really bad," He whispered looking at the eldest alpha, tears burning the corners of him eyes.

"They said he had multiple broken bones including the ribs. He had a mild concussion, internal bleeding and his lungs got pierced by one of the broken ribs," He started again this time looking his hands as if was living that day again.

"It was all our fault," He said, sounding angry. Seokjin looked like he was about to disagree and somehow Seungcheol could tell so he clarified, "No hyung, I'm not blaming us out of guilt or anything, it really was our fault." The others looked at him confused before he sighed.

"Shua and I were what you would call man whores. We slept around with multiple people and dumped them the next day," He felt the atmosphere change and saw the two eldest glaring at him. The eldest alpha was about to say something when Seungcheol rushed out, "No no no no, listen Hyung, We've changed! We made it clear to all the participants before anything could happen! We had everyone's full and clear consent!" 

The fated mates hated anything that didn't have loyalty and genuine feelings. They hated mindless games, especially at the expense of other people. They despised exploitation, and to learn that their very own participated in such for years, made them livid. However they did calm down a notch at the confession.

Seokjin still smacked the back of Seungcheol's head with a scowl, as if to knock some sense into the alpha who whined. "Carry on," The omega grumbled.

"We slept with the wrong girls. Turns out they already had partners, however, they didn't tell us and we didn't bother asking. The boyfriends found out, and instead of confronting me and Shua, they went to Tae." His breath shuddered and so did his entire body as he started to silently cry.
