IT HAD been a few days since Kiri's seizure, and the guilt was weighing down on Åstelieha. Ever since it happened, everyone had been trying to convince her it wasn't her fault, but she still believed it was. If she hadn't took Kiri to the spirit tree, she wouldn't have seize and she wouldn't be in the situation she is now. After all, it was Åstelieha's idea to take them to the spirit tree."Åstelieha!" A familiar voice shouted in her direction, snapping her out of her daze. Her eyes softened as she looked over her shoulder seeing Neteyam running towards her with a smile. "Kiri is awake!" Åstelieha's eyes widened as the pair immediately began running towards the mauri Kiri was in.
"Kiri!" Åstelieha exclaimed as she pushed through the small crowd, immediately pulling her friend into a hug. Åstelieha had never been so happy to see the girl and she was even more happy that Kiri would be able to see her dance tonight. Kiri hissed slightly at how tight the girls arms were wrapped around her, but she didn't mind.
"You are never going near the spirit tree again." Kiri chuckled at the girl as Åstelieha pulled away from the hug, receiving a playful eye roll from the girl. "Come find me when you have spent time with you family." Åstelieha softly spoke, ruffling Kiri's hair as she stood up, making eye contact with Neteyam before waking out the mauri.
Her eyebrows furrowed as she heard footstep beside her, looking over her shoulder as she was met with Neteyam. "How come you are not with your sister?" Åstelieha questioned, averted her eyes forward again.
"I just wanted to make sure your alright and besides, my mother won't let us near her." Neteyam looked down towards Åstelieha, waiting for an answer.
"I am fine, why would I be?" She rhetorically asked, frowning slightly as she heard Neteyam sigh from beside her. She knew the reason he was asking, but now Kiri was awake, why would should it now be spoken of?
"It was not your fault, you couldn't have known she would have a seizure. Please do not continue to blame yourself for it." Neteyam softly spoke, grabbing her waist to stop her from walking away as she turned towards him, sparks flowing through both of there body's at the connect of skin.
"It may not be my fault but I can't help but feel as though it was." Åstelieha responded as Neteyam dropped his hands from her waist.
"Nobody is at fault, Stel." Åstelieha's eyes widened slightly at the new founded nickname before a smirk formed on her face. A perfect chance to change the subject.
"We are on nickname terms, are we now?" Neteyam chuckled in reply, knowing the girl was changing the subject but understood she didn't want to speak of her feelings. "Are you coming to the festival tonight? Everyone's going." Åstelieha questioned as the boy nodded.
"You are doing the water dance, aren't you?" Åstelieha grinned at the fact he had remembered about her doing the main dance. Ever since Åstelieha was a child, she was always fascinated by dancing. When Åstelieha was 6 she was finally old enough to take part in a few of the water dances and as she grew older, her roles grew bigger and now she was the main dancer.
"Yes." She responded, her body now full of excitement

It was now almost eclipse, Åstelieha had spent most of her day with Neteyam and Kiri and now it was time for the festival. "You look beautiful, my daughter." Tonowari softly spoke as Åstelieha entered the hut. Ronal smiled at her daughter, something she didn't do often towards anyone. "Thank you, dad." Åstelieha responded as Aonung and Tsireya appeared from behind the curtain dividing the front of the hut from the rooms.
"You look amazing, Telie!" Tsireya exclaimed, immediately pulling her older sister in for a hug. Åstelieha looked towards Aonung, the boy smiling brightly at her.
She knew her twin brother was bad with his way of words, just like their mother, so whenever either of them smiled, Åstelieha always knew it was genuine. "Come now daughter, you must not be late." Ronal ushered the girl out of the hut, the two of them walking past the Sullys hut as Åstelieha and Neteyam made eye contact.
Neteyam's lips parted in shock at how beautiful she looked.
Her face makeup brought out the blueness of her eyes, her outfit had pearls and shells decorated on it. Her hair reached down to her tail, it was the first time he had seen it when not in braids. On top of her hair was shells and pearls placed in it with a shell resting on her forehead.
But Neteyam wasn't the only one who was completely engulfed by the looks of the other. Åstelieha had never seen a boy as pretty as him, his face makeup was simpler than hers, but within his hair was a few more beads than usual. Suddenly, Neteyam was feeling a bit more confident than usual, the boy painting his hand white as he exited the hut, looking down towards Åstelieha.
"Can I?" He whispered, nodding towards his hand. Åstelieha nodded, knowing that if she spoke her words would come out fumbled. Neteyam slowly placed his hand on her chest, putting on a small amount of pressure before removing it again, smiling to himself at the outcome.
"You look amazing, Stel." Neteyam breathed out as Åstelieha smiled, raising on her tip toes before placing a kiss on his cheek. "I will see you later." She quickly spoke before walking away, smiling to herself as she let out a small squeal of happiness.
