Seaira's POV
Rick kneeled to the stash of preservatives the group found in the RV. Aaron wasn't lying about the two vehicles. this is a good sign in my opinion. Rick gets up and talks to Aaron, "This is ours now." Aaron nods. "There is more than enough." "It's ours whether or not we go to your camp." Rick states.
Carl speaks up, "What do you mean? why wouldn't we go?" Michonne backs him up, "If he were lying, or if he wanted to hurt us... but he isn't, and he doesn't." Michonne looks around at everyone. "We need this. So we're going. all of us. Somebody say something if they feel differently." She looks at each of us. She lands on me and i give a single nod, telling her im on her side.
"I don't know man." Daryl starts. I glance at him, no way he is not wanting to go. "This barn smells like horse shit." He says. I smile at him. Moron. he glances at me and winks. "Yeah," We look at Rick. "We're going." He calls. I smile more. sighing in relief.
Rick turns around to talk to Aaron. "So where are we going? Where's your camp?" Aaron answers, "Well, every time I've done this, I've been behind the wheel driving recruits back. I believe your good people. I bet my life on it. I'm just not ready to bet my friends' lives just yet."
Michonne walks to him and says sternly. "You're not driving. So if you want to get home, you'll have to tell us how." Rick grabs a map off the table and kneels to look at it. Aaron looks down at the map, "Go north on route 16." Rick follows the road with his finger. "And then?" Michonne pushes. "I'll tell you when we get there." "We'll take 23 north. You'll give us directions from there." Rick demands.
"That's- I don't know how else to say it- that's a bad idea. we've cleared 16. it'll be faster." Aaron says a little worried. "We'll take 23. We leave at sundown." Rick says folding the map and standing up.
"We're doing this at night?" Sasha asks. "Look I know it's dangerous. But it's better than riding up to the gates during the day. If it isn't safe, we need to get gone before they know we're there." Rick analyzes.
"No one is going to hurt you. you're trying to protect your group, but you're putting them in danger." Aaron says more riled up.
"Tell me where the camp is, we'll leave right now." Rick negotiates. Aaron stays quiet. I shake my head, this is a bad idea. "It's going to be a long night. Eat, get some rest if you can." Rick says and walks out the door. I sigh, not like we can change his mind. I go and grab a can of peaches and sit against the wall of a stable. Dixon sitting next to me. I pry the can open with my knife and open the lid.
"Peaches are my favorite." I say, feeling my mouth water. He snickers next to me. I stab a peach with my knife and plop the slice in my mouth. I chew and taste the juices. I moan quietly. My jaw tingling at the food.
"If fruit gets Ya moanin' i wonder what else does." Daryl says quietly. I gasp and elbow his side. He chuckles. I roll my eyes and eat another slice. I move the can towards him seeing if he will take any. He reaches into the can and grabs a slimy slice and also plops it in his mouth. "ew, did you wash your hands ya ogre?" I say looking in the can. "mhm." He answers as he licks his fingers.
"You are so gross." I say eating another slice. "You love it." he says getting another one. I gently push his knee that was up and he smiles at me.
I glance over at Aaron that was across from us a little ways. he was looking at us but mostly at the can. I look down at his and hand it to Daryl. "Hang on a sec." I tell him. "What ya doin'?" He asks. I don't answer as he grabs the can from my hand and I stand up going to the food. I look around and find a cliff bar. I get it and go to Aaron. I squat next to him and sit on one knee.
I glance at Daryl and he nods. Knowing what I'm doing as he continues eating the peaches. I open the wrapper and look at Aaron. "Thank you." He says kindly. Him still having his hands tied, I let him take a bit out of the bar from my hand. He takes a bite and chews. he eats the rest of the bar and sighs as he finishes. I get my bottle of water from my bag and let him have some swallows.
He finishes and I put my water back. "Thank you again, really." I only nod. "I can tell," Aaron starts, glancing at Dixon that is eyeing Aaron down. Aaron lowers his voice. "That you mean a lot to a lot of people here. And I also know that you believe me. Thank you for trusting me." I say. His eyes are filled with gratefulness. "I don't trust you, but I know you're telling the truth. gut feelings ya know?" I say and stand up.
Going back to Daryl. He lets me have the rest of the can, which is the other half and I put the trash a few ways next to me and I yawn. "Here," Daryl stands up and offers me his hand. I look at him confused but I take his hand anyway. He still holds it and leads me to the stall we slept in.
He closes the door behind us and motions for the blanket on the ground. "Get some sleep, I'll wake you when we get ready to leave. "You need sleep too," I say sitting on the blanket, taking my bag, and bow off me.
"Nah, I can stay up." He says leaning on the door. "Dixon, I wasn't asking." I say, holding my hand up for him. He looks at me for a moment. Then he takes a few steps to me and grabs my hand as he sits next to me. "It's not like we haven't slept next to each other before." I say laying down. Remembering the first night I met him, he still lay next to me in that bed with the Claimers.
"Yeah I remember, I also remember you said you were fat, and your not." He says quietly as he lies next to me. I'm on my left side holding my head up with my hand. him doing the same with his right side. we are a few inches away from each other and I can still feel his radiating warmth.
I crave that warmth, it's comforting. I can't imagine a night without him next to me. All the nights we spent right next to each other from day one. "What ya thinking bout?" He asks.
"Every night we spent together, no matter where we were, we were still asleep by each other's side." I whisper. He leans closer to me. "And that ain't gonna change Lil bit." He whispers back.
I smile as I look into his blue pools. "I am fat though." I say quietly. He leans back into his hand, rolling his head back. "Oh, my lord woman. Ya aint fat." He speaks. I laugh a little bit. The walls aren't soundproof, but we still have our privacy. "How am I not?" I ask.
He immediately reaches towards me and lifts up my shirt to show my stomach. I gasp and try to lower my shirt but he raises it back up. With his other hand, he pins my hand behind my head. Holding himself up with his elbow.
He slowly leans down and plants two kisses on my stomach. He then looks up from where his head is. His moving causes his hair to tickle my skin, his hair is past his ears a little bit, showing how close he is to my skin. "You're not fat." He speaks. Slowly lowering my shirt and letting go of my pinned hand.
He lies down where he was before the attack. "You are so mean." I whisper with a smile. "How so?" He asks, looking at me with his head on his hand. "Because you do things to me I didn't think was possible." I mumble.
"Why don't you think it's possible?" He asks. I smile, I gently push him on his back and graze my nose to his neck. Feeling his trembling breath. "Because you do things to me, Dixon, you start them but don't know how to finish them." I say, planting my own kiss on his neck. Causing him to hold back a moan, but quiet enough for me to hear.
I pull away and lay on his chest. "If we aren't in a barn that smells like horse shit, I'll finish what I started. "Sure you will Dixon." I pat his chest and get comfortable. laying on his chest I hear his heartbeat. Causing me to drift to sleep.
