Seaira's POV

We all spill out of the house as we go in different directions, they were going around the community today exploring. Daryl sits on the edge of the porch with his crossbow as Rick and I are walking out the door.

"They said explore," Rick says looking at him. I pull my boots on and lace them as they talk, "Nah, I'll stay." Daryl says. Rick looks at me as I stand up. We both look back at Daryl.

"All right. Lori and me, we used to drive through neighborhoods like this. Thinking, 'one day'..." Rick says trailing off and looking around.

"Well, here we are." Daryl sighs. "We'll be back," Rick says leaving the porch. I look around and spot someone walking their dog. "Daryl, there's a dog, let's go!" I say excitedly. trying to forget they ate a dog back on the road.

"You go, ill be here." He says, what's with him today? "I'll be right back," I say and jump over the three stairs and jog towards the lady with the dog.

I start walking when I get close and ask her if I can pet her dog. She says yes and I kneel down, letting her black lab smell me first, it lowers its head and I pet it behind the ears and the top of its head. I stand back up and thank her and wall back towards Daryl.

Going up the steps he hasn't moved from his spot. "Okay, what's going on with you?" I ask. He shrugs, "Nothin', just don't want to take a stroll is all." I tilt my head slightly. "Wanna explore the rest of our house? See what we can do with it?" I ask.

He chews the inside of his cheeks for a second, a nervous tick and he does it when he is thinking. "Maybe later, you go ahead, explore and see what's interesting about this place." I sigh, "Darlin, you can tell me anything, what's got you worked up?" I ask again walking to him and kneeling in front of him where he is still sitting.

He shrugs, "I know just not used to a place like this is all. It's gonna take me some time to get comfortable with this is all." He looks at me. I nod, not wanting to push him anymore and make him uncomfortable. "See you in a little bit?" I ask, "Mhm." He smiles. I kiss his cheek and stand up going to explore.

I walk down the street, remembering their names so I don't get turned around in this culdesac. I notice some of the homes look like little shops. Kinda like how they made the armory and infirmary a whole house just for important things. They even have a whole house for the food stock here.

I decide to go by those places, make sure I remember how to get there, memorize myself with the items, and also check on my guns.

I walk to the garage of the Armory, knocking on the big door, I wait a few moments till it opens. It raises above my head and see a woman there with black hair and glasses. She smiles when she sees me. "Hey there." She greets smiling.

"Hi, I'm sorry if I'm intruding," I pause. "No you're fine, I'm just counting ammo, You need to check out your weapon?" She asks. I shake my head. "No, I just came to look at my rifle and pistols. It sounds weird but no one normally... holds my firearms. they don't really go too far without me. Sorry, I'm still getting used to yalls systems. Is it okay if I clean them?" I explain.

"I completely understand it can be kinda nerve-racking without feeling protected, but I can reassure you I am only around the guns. I keep count to make sure they stay in their slots and are full of ammunition, and there is a station you can clean your weapons in here. I can show you." She smiles, pointing behind her with her pencil in hand and a clipboard in the other.
