The Hunter's Angel

Chapter 13

Seaira's POV

Banging echoes in the church, Sasha chopping up some benches with the axe I use to have. It was in the bag the Terminus group had. The chopping causing the echoes. Tyreese ripping out the pipes that was once connected to the organ. Daryl and I behind him, ready to take the pipes outside. 

Daryl looks over at Sasha destroying the benches. Ty takes out another pipe and hands it to him, bringing his attention back. "It was- It was good you weren't here for it." Ty says to him, glancing at me. Daryl looks at me too, his eyes grow soft. "I'm sorry I left you alone for that, you shouldn't have been here." Daryl says, shaking his head. 

I shrug my shoulders, getting another pipe from Tyreese. "I'm used to worse." I sigh. Daryl shifts his eyes back to Sasha. "She hangin' in there?" You can hear Sasha continuing to smash the wooded benches with her axe. Tyreese answers him, "No." Daryl and I walk to the door. Sasha letting her anger out on the wood. 

We meet Gabriel outside, the other pipes sticking out of the ground like stakes, surrounding the steps. "Are you gonna take the cross, too?" Gabriel asks us. We unload the pipes on the steps, taking one in out hand. I go opposite of Daryl by the steps and jab it into the ground, twisting it deeper into the earth so it's steadier. I step around the bottom of the pole, tucking the dirt around it, making sure it won't move. 

I turn to get another one, Daryl answers Fathers question, "If we need it." Jamming his pole into the ground as well. Gabriel doesn't ask any more questions we get to work, Daryl and I doing our job. I hear Sasha break up the benches, and the others hammering up the wood from the benches to cover the windows. 

Daryl told us about Noah, the boy who was with him last night, who he was and what happened to Carol. We were waiting for Rick to make a decision and come up with a plan. All morning and afternoon we worked on making the church safer. 

That evening Rick finally makes his decision. Rick, Sasha. Ty, Daryl, and I, are taking Noah to get Beth back from a hospital Noah said she was at. I didn't know Beth, but I remember Daryl talking to Rick about her when he met back up with them. Since she is part of this group, I'm going with them, helping out as much as I can.

Rick kisses his daughters head and hands her to Michonne, the rest are staying till we get back. Rick hugs Carl and tells them we will be back soon. Rick closes the door behind him, we hear them hammering a board up in front of the door. We head out.

We take a box van, all of us sit on the floor in the back, the door slightly up for wind. Ty and Sasha sit next to each other as Daryl and I do on the opposite side, Rick driving while Noah is in the passenger seat. The siblings talk about Bob, I sigh and lean my head on Daryl's shoulder. I feel him tense under my head, but he relaxes. 

"We'll be there soon." He says to me, I nod against his shoulder, "I know, just glad to be by your side again, ya know?" I say. I look up at him, still leaning on him. He looks down at me, the smallest smile form on his lips.

Soon, Rick parks and we go into a tall building, almost nothing in it. We get to the top floor and Rick discusses the plan. "At sundown we fire a shot into the air. Get two of them out on patrol. Then once it's dark enough that the rooftop spotter won't see us, we go. We cut the locks on one of the stairways, take it to the fifth floor. I open the door, Daryl and Seaira takes the guards out."

 "How?" Ty asks Rick. "We slit they're throat" I say calmly. Rick continues. "This is all about us doing this quiet, keeping the upper hand. They're not expecting us. From there, we fan out. Knives and silenced weapons. We need to be fast. Rick looks at the dirt floor, marking spots on his map he made. "Tyreese, Sasha, take them." He motions to the marks on the map.
