{You are a human who’s been adopted by a dragon couple. The mother is incredibly enthusiastic about teaching you stuff, so every week she tries to teach you to breathe fire and fly. It gets weird one day when you actually breathe fire.}
"C'mon, Dullscale. We need to go baaaack!" You sighed at your sibling's whining. "No, Starclaws. I know that as soon as mom makes sure we eat lunch that she'll usher us to lessons and I'm tired of not being able to do anything!" A small (for a dragon anyways) navy colored dragon padded up to your side, head lowered. You sigh at the expression on her scaley face.
"Fine. Lets find Darkrunner first. Then we'll go home for lunch." The horse-sized dragon perked up and beamed at you, leaning over and hugging you with her wings. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" She let go and ran a few paces down the path before looking back at you.
"What are you waiting for, Dullscale? Let's go!" You chuckle and jog over, clambering onto your siblings back just before she sprints into the forest. It took a good while to find the youngest sibling but when they did he didn't spot you two. You shared a wicked smile with your sister and silently climbed up a tree, carefully walking through the branches until you were above your deep-sea blue brother. Right when Starclaws roared out an innocent greeting, you lept from the branches and tackled Darkrunner. Drawing a yelp from him as he fell over.
You and Starclwas busted out laughing at him. He growled and playfully batted at your head (careful of his claws) until you fell off him. Once you and your sister were calm enough to breathe properly, you climbed back into your bigger sibling's back and you three made your way back home.
Once at your home cave, you slipped off your freckled sister's shoulders and called out for your parents. There was a momentary pause before a large (even by dragon standards) midnight-black dragon thudded his way out if the dark of the cave. When he spoke, despite it being calm and more on the quiet side, it still boomed and vibrated the air.
"Children. You are late. Your carrier is not happy with you." You sheepishly laugh and rub the back of your neck. "Yeah, thats my fault. I had us play a few games on the way back and we got a bit carried away."
The titanic dragon lowered his head, jaw-horns nearly scraping the ground and having to turn his muzzle to bring his eye nearly level with you. You smile into the eye that is just barely smaller than yourself. Eventually he lets out a gust of a breath and lifts his head again. "Go. My forgiveness is not what you must seek." You beam up at the giant dragon.
"Thank you, dad!" You and your siblings scurry into the cave, past the titanic dragon who continues his way out of the cave. You three find your mother in the further most cave-room.
"Hey, mom! Sorry we're late, we got a bit carried away on the way back." The baby-blue dragoness whipped her head around to you three, large ears perked, and trotted over. She lowered her head to check you guys over. Before relaxing in relief, right before the gains a stern glare. Her gentle motherly voice getting a tad terse. "Children! What have I told you about contacting us if you are running late!? We were worried sick! Bless the winds your sire didn't decide to look for you himself!"
You and your siblings chorus a sheepish, "Sorry, Lagoonwings." She huffed but her anger didn't last long. "Come now, my children. Lets get you fed then we can continue yesterday's lesson." You and your siblings pass her and grab some of the prepared food she had set out for you.
You three teased and joked with each other as you ate, your mother watching over you with a small smile. Once done your mother nudged you three into a different cave-room and had your two siblings resume their practice on what they were working on yesterday. Meanwhile, you were back to practicing the basics with mom.
