Stay With Me // [Red Guy x Reader]

An AU idea?

Hey ya'll, so this is completely unrelated to EVERYTHING but I've come up with this idea for an AU I'm still working on but so far I have this stuff for it. Didn't have anywhere else to bring this to but here so:

AU backstory idea:
    The whole show is from Yellow's childhood memories and imagination while he's playing with puppets. He's set up this happy fantasyland that's childish and happy until it slowly turns demented as he slowly looses his sanity during it, leading to when all the characters die.

The characters:
    In this AU, Yellow guy's name is David (taken from the TV series, episode 2 name theory). David is 38 years old and lives on his own but he's stuck in this traumatic world so he keeps himself isolated in his room and plays puppets with characters he created. Red, Yellow, and Duck.
    He uses these puppets to escape the world for a hour at the same time everyday. When he does this, he starts to slowly sanity during this and reflects his trauma back onto the dolls before the hour of playtime ends and he goes back to whatever he was doing before this, the cycle repeating everyday.
    David suffers from schizophrenia, anxiety, and PTSD from his parents abuse and thinks they still have control over him, leading to the violent imaginations during his "playtime hour".

    Roy, David's father, is ✨homeless✨ and chooses to live near David's home since it's the only "familiar place he knows". He used to live with Leslie but since they divorced he's been out on the streets and just trying to find a place to shelter.
    Roy was a good guy, but after having to take care of a child on his own after David's birth mother left he became hooked on drugs and became abusive and blamed it all on David, it wasn't until he became homeless he decided to try to cut on drugs. He's tried moving in with David but every time he's near him he goes quiet and leaves out of pure awkwardness.
    He has guilt for how he treated David, but he knows he can't change it into something new and happy.

    Leslie is David's step-mother, and she was trash as well. She has bipolar and is usually a really sweet lady and plays the piano to keep herself stable, but if anything was to slightly interfere then she'd have a bit of a outburst. She was really caring to David and was the only true parent/mother he had, but there was always a unsettling energy between them since Leslie had a few screws loose. Despite that, she tried her best to keep him away from Roy.
    When David was 10, Leslie kicked Roy out of her home after divorcing him from his drug addiction and abusive behavior and sent David to live with other people since she knew she couldn't take care of this child on her own and after the divorce she had all custody.
    She currently doesn't have any communication with them and is living on her own and constantly playing piano.

    Harry (Red) and Robin (duck) were old friends he knew when he was a child. They were a secret gay couple that lived together and had a pet dog (references to them owning a pet in the show), and they were the only people David could trust.
    A lot of times, David was sent to their home for a few weeks because of Leslie's attempt to keep Roy away from him but would have to take him back home after awhile. After David's parents divorce he was sent to live with Harry and Robin, who David made Red and Duck after.

 
The characters (teachers):

    The teachers in the show were David's old teachers from his time being homeschooled at Robin and Harry's home or people he met that taught him something. And from David's lack of supplies from never stepping outside, he uses random objects he found around the house to present his old teachers. When he's play with the items, he'd try to repeat what they taught him when he was a kid but most of it was twisted to something strange and not that close to what was taught to him.
