Chapter 11 [The Training, and the Empire's Heart]

Sachiko's POV

"Such a shame, you don't know her?"

I shook my head as a no because I don't remember her. Although I feel like I've heard of her name before. Where did I heared of that name again?

"Aozora Mary, your biological mother. The one who teleported you to the World of the Mortals. The Humans."

She what?!

"13 years ago, the Dev Kingdom attacked our Empire. They attacked when Aunt Mary is giving birth. And that child....is you." She explained and I didn't utter a single word.

Then my mom probably died because of me.

"She used her remaining energy to teleport you and Lady Yani to the Mortal World. So that you will be safe from harm." She added which made my guess correct.

Then it really is because of me that she died. If only she didn't choose me, then she's still probably alive. Then probably--

"Just what the hell are you thinking to make that kind of face?" Tenshi-ne said in a calm voice but annoyance can be felt.

It seems like she's annoyed, for what?

I heard her sigh and saw her closed her eyes.

"Listen, what she did is what she wanted to do." She said and she stood up.

Is she planning on leaving already? Ain't normal beings' comfort someone if they're burdened or crying?

"Tenshi-ne wait...if my mother teleport me and Mama to the human world. Then why is Mama at prison?" I asked desperately for an answer. And she sits again and sigh.

I asked Lady Elisa many times for answers about Mama's whereabouts, but she didn't answer. Ain't this about time for me to get answers?

"Finally...you asked the right Immortal. Lady Yani is suspected of kidnapping an Imperial Princess, that's you, and for murdering Aunt Mary." She answered.

"Kidnapped? But Tenshi-ne, you know the truth! And Mama ain't a murderer" I answered angrily. And due to emotions, I accidentally slammed the table and stood up.

She knows that truth. So, why is Mama still imprisoned!

"Watch your tone, Princess." Tenshi-ne said in a threatening way.

Oh my god! If there's an immortal that I don't want to be my enemy, it's her. I lost my control!

"I'm sorry." I answered with a low voice.

"I know because the wind told me. What physical evidence do I have? None. I cannot answer the court with because the wind told me."

Woah, is she being sarcastic right now?

"You're right, Tenshi-ne. I'm sorry." I said in a low voice.

"Are you worried?" She asked.

Is she serious?! Of course I am!

"Yes." I simply answered.

"The Imperial Judge is Lady Elisa's father, Justin Allen. The Allen's of the East are known for their wise decisions. The Allen's are fair and righteous. Don't worry if you think that the other party will manipulate the court."

"Then--"

"I'll be leaving now. Use your time wisely. Take a rest." She said and is on her way out of my room.
