54 - Bud Like You (TdDk)

I still don't own BNHA or anything but the story and the OCs. The video above (Bud Like You | TodoDeku Animatic) belongs to Scoffsco. 

Hey, Happy New Year everyone! I know this is short but I haven't updated this in a while so I thought I'd write a little something while I'm finishing other longer chapters. 

Neri let out a loud coo when he saw what they were about to watch.

"Aw, this one is pretty sweet." 

Toga jumped up and down.

"Oh! Oh! Am I in it?" 

Neri shook his head and gave the girl a gentle smile:

"Not in this one I'm afraid but I'm sure your alter-ego will appear soon in other universes." 

Toga pouted but nodded and sat back down. 

The screen lit up and the title of the universe appeared.

Universe: Bud Like You (TdDk)

"TdDk?" Mina asked, tilting her head to the side. 

Neither gods nor spirits answered her question. 

Enough, enough

There's no one here that we know

// Izuku is leaning back against a wall, next to Todoroki. Other people are milling around but no one is talking to them. //

"Are they at the party?" Ochako asked.

"Seems like it, Little Listener," Yamada approved. 

Red sat up. TdDk... Ah. Of course.

"It looks fun, let's go to a party when we go back!" Denki exclaimed.

"Sit down, Kaminari," Aizawa told him.

Kaminari sat down. 

"You're not fun, sensei," Ashido muttered playfully under her breath. 

I think I knew a girl, who knew the host

But she's heading home

// It shows Mina Ashido drinking before Kirishima forces her to leave, literally carrying her out of the house party. //

"Pfff, Ashido!" 

Mina pouted but it didn't last long. Her lips twitched and she nickered. She knew she would be the kind of person to drink and get drunk knowing that at least one of her friends would be sober enough to help her get back home. And if the party was a U.A party then she wouldn't even need to go back home (though who would be brave enough to smuggle alcohol to U.A... that was the question). 

We stand a lot

Stare at the disco ball

// Izuku and Todoroku are staring at each other under the disco ball. Izuku is laughing. //

Ochako straightened as realization slapped her in the face. She brought a hand to her mouth to muffle her laugh.

Oh.

Oh! Okay. Okay. 

She laughed and glanced at the couch where Izuku, Dabi, Kaminari and Shouto were sitting. Well, someone was going to be jealous! 

Like who'd invest in that

When no one is looking at it

"Right? I mean, I didn't know they still sold that anymore!" a student from 1-B exclaimed, pointing a finger at the screen. 

Todoroki tilted his head to the side as he watched his and Izuku's alter-ego stroll around the house before sitting on the couch next to each other, talking and joking. 

It looked like what they usually did, minus the drinking part. 

He didn't understand why some of his classmates were smirking at him. 

"What?" he asked Tsu when he saw the look on her face.

"I think your and Izuku's alter-egos are in love, ribbit." 

Shouto remained still for a few seconds but then he shrugged.

"Oh."

It kinda made sense.

Kicking in the basement (kicking in the basement) 

Hating all the same things too

Dabi tightened his hold on Izuku when he saw the flushed looks on their alter-egos' faces. Sure, they were a bit tipsy, but that wasn't the only reason why their cheeks were flushed. 

Oh lord. 

He couldn't deal with that. 

"Ew."

"To - Dabi, don't be childish. It's only an alternative universe," Fuyumi teased him. 

Dabi winced at the slip of her tongue but then he sniffed hauntingly. 

"Still disturbing."

Izuku giggled.

"I don't see how."

Kaminari snorted.

"Of course, you don't." 

If I need a pick me up

Would you come and pick me up

I could really use a bud like you.

// Kirishima appears and helps Izuku stand up as other students start to appear. //

Sero and Kaminari whooped in joy when they saw their alter-ego. Tokoyami's lips twitched while his quirk flew around the room. Momo, Jirou and Ochako just smiled. 

For her part, Hagakure snickered when she saw how happy and smitten Izuku and Todoroki's alter-ego looked on the screen. 

// Ochako and Tenya are standing close to each other - dancing and singing loudly - while Tsu is mingling in with Momo. //

Way up, way up

Way up to the sky [...]

"This was so sweet! I wanted to see more!" Komori squealed. 

Ochako approved wholeheartedly. She wouldn't have minded seeing more but she was also curious to see what the other universes had in reserve for her and her friends. Still, it was probably the first time she ever saw Todoroki (or his alter-ego) blush.
