Chapter 9..
"Mr Hart, if the company loses any more money, I'm afraid we may go bankrupt."
"And that's my job to not let that happen Mr Colly." Noah stoop upright, his broad shoulders held tension as his hand clenched the chair infront.
Noah all but knew the company was in trouble.
"The stock rates were down 3% more than last years." He heard one of his colleagues mumble as the group talked amongst themselves.
He needed trust from his co workers to motivate him into keeping the company from collapsing. After all, the company is his life.Anna sat patiently in the corner, her fingers rapidly tapping the keypad, taking in as much information as she could grasp.
A loud cough deliberately caught attention amongst the others who glanced in Hanks direction. He stood up abruptly, pushing his glasses to their correct position before clearing his throat.
"What if David Hart could help mend the situation." Sweat began to form on his forehead as the room fell silent.
Noah's intense glare and the frustration he was about to unfold made Anna worried. She hadn't known about Noah's and his fathers hatred to one another before Elliot had told her on their date.
"Don't you dare bring my father into this Hank." His strong, aggressive voice echoed throughout the room.
David Hart was not a trustworthy man and Noah knew this all too well. He was manipulative and conceiving, not afraid to go behind someone back if need be. Having retired and signing over his company to Elliot betrayed his loyalty with Noah two years ago. Noah knew he could not trust his father, never mind with his own company.
"There will be no such talk about my father in the room, understood?"
"Understood." his colleagues said in unison as Hank took a seat in embarrassment.

The sky was a mere shade of blue as the car began to approach the estate. The well lit drive in gave Anna the chance to look over at Noah and to see his facial expression. Boy was it a sight.
His jaw was tensed as his fingers skimmed his stubble. The stress of today's meeting left a permanent frown on his perfectly sculptured face. Anna had to mentally slap herself from reaching over to touch it. His dark complexion didn't hide his worried expression. How could a man who was so young look so dishevelled.
The car steadily came to a halt before Noah's eyes travelled to hers, the sudden redness on her cheeks took her by surprise having noticed she had been unknowingly gazing at him.
Their eyes stayed on each other, watching each other before he noticed she began to bite tendoirsly on her lip.
"I hope the meeting wasn't too harsh for you Annabelle." His intense stare softened into a heartfelt grin.
"It was nice to meet some of your other colleagues beside myself." she smirked. Moments of silence passed before Anna was the first to speak up again.
"They should believe in you.."
Noah didn't understand at first before Anna kept speaking.
"To not let the company go up in flames, I know you wouldn't go down without a fight, they just need to believe in you. Like I do."
Her soft smile and the way she held onto his arm like she was soothing away all the hurt made him at ease. her eyes began to shine brightly in the dark and her dimples began to form in her cheeks as she grinned warmly.
And that was all the motivation he needed. For someone to believe in him. to believe he could better himself in many ways than one. Of course he would not let his company down, he was a leader, a CEO he couldn't let his fears of destruction get in the way of that.
