Chapter Fourteen...

"Hey beautiful." Elliot greeted Anna with a small kiss on the cheek as they took a seat across from each other at there favourite bar.

It had been 3 days since Noah had asked her to seduce Elliot and gain his trust so he would spill everything to her even though she thought Noah was out of his mind in thinking his brother would stab him in the back. Either way, she did she would do whatever it takes for Noah to track down the source of his soon-to-be-failing company.

On the same night, she had been sent a message from Elliot saying he had been out of town for Christmas and would like to meet up with her if she wasn't too busy. She politely accepted, beginning to feel a bit guilty about the whole thing but it was a bonus that she liked to spend time with Elliot, even if it meant spying.

So now here she was, sat opposite the heart throb that was Elliot Hart who only months ago had saved her from a lunatic on the street and gave her a place to stay for the night. And now she was betraying his trust by spying on him.

"So, have you thought more about the job offer?" He suddenly asked, catching Anna's attention.

"Yes and id like to politely decline." She replied, taking a awkward sip of her wine and trying to not directly at him as she waited for a response.

"Any reason why?" Elliot spoke a little too loudly, a stern look on his face.

"There would be no reason for me to leave at the moment Elliot, I thought I made that clear." His eyebrows shot up at her reply not expecting such an answer.

It was quiet for a moment minus the blaring music from the bar and the conserving of other people.

"Can we have a night without anything work related Elliot?" Anna pleaded and he grinned back at her taking a swig from his bottle. Anna had her hair pinned to the side the way he always liked it, her soft skin radiating from the dim light and her chocolate, brown eyes eyed him curiously.

Did you have a good Christmas?" Elliot asked, placing his entwined hands onto the table.

"Yes I did thanks. And you?"

"Great. I see you volunteered at the homeless shelter. I never thought I'd see my little brother doing hard labour."

"You know about that?"

"It's all over the papers. You and Noah walking down the street holding hands. How are my grandparents by the way?" Anna nearly choked on her wine, holding her breath for several seconds to get her composure back she eyed Elliot. How was she suppose to get this plan to work if he thought she had some sort of relationship with Noah.

"We weren't exactly holding hands, he was trying to protect me from the paparazzi and they just got a bad photo."

"I see."

Anna immediately called over the waitress that was walking past them. She smiled upon her arrival and brought out her note pad but before she could speak, Anna already began to give her orders.

"A bottle of Moët Champagne please and two shots of tequila." Elliot's eyebrows rises in concern, a faint grin on his lips before Anna whispered into the waitresses ear away from Elliot's sound. "Keep the shots coming."
