The next day Neteyam awoke to Tsireya announcing the return of the tulkun. Tuk pulled him and Kiri out of the hut in excitement.
Once out of the hut Kiri and Tuk jumped into the water while Neteyam stood and watched as they swam out.
Neteyam was spooked as Aonung came up behind him, wrapping himself around the boy's arm. "You must come to meet my spirit brother."
Aonung pulled the forest boy into the water. They swam until they reached where Aonung's tulkun was. "This is my brother, Tstew." Aonung signed to the tulkun, Neteyam couldn't quite understand everything he said but was able to get the gist of it.
The reef boy grabbed Neteyam's hand and brought him closer to Tstew. The tulkun leaned into the forest boy. "I think he likes you forest boy."
Neteyam couldn't help but smile as he touched the sea animal. He looked over to Aonung who smiled back at him. He grabbed the boy's hand and held it in his own, holding it underneath the water.
Before long it was almost sunset and the tulkun had left reef. As most families had went to their huts, but the two boys were getting ready for their sunset meeting.

The two boys sat on the sand as they held hands. Neteyam's head was led on the others shoulder as they both watched the calm waves climbed up and down the beach.
"Should we go for a ride Tey?"
"You wanna take me for a ride now Aon?"
"Yea I do."
Aonung called over the ilu as he stood knee deep in the reef. When the ilu came, Aonung mounted its back as he helped Neteyam onto the animal.
Aonung rode down towards the ocean floor. There were lots of different plants and types of fish. Neteyam had never seen so many fish in his life, they only ever had a few in the small rivers or ponds in the forest.
Neteyam leaned back as he pushed his hands up, feeling as the rode through the water.
