We're Going Where?!

It was the night before our 10 day vacation began. I scrambled around the house, making sure that everything was packed and ready to go. Tyler still hasn't said much about where he is taking us, but he did let on that we will need bathing suits and beach attire. He took Cameron and I shopping yesterday to make sure that we had all that we needed for the trip. We dropped the puppies off at their obedience school and came back home to pack our suitcases.

As I check off all of the items on my packing list, Tyler walks into the bedroom. "Babe, you've checked that list three times now. I think you have everything you need." He says, chuckling at my over-prepared self.

I put my list down and tucked my hair behind my ears, "I just want to be sure I don't forget anything. It's not easy packing for multiple people, rookie."

He props himself up on our bed and watches me refold a couple things in the suitcase, "How can I help? Just tell me what you need."

I paused for a moment, "You could double check Cam's suitcase, if you don't mind?"

He nods his head and gets up off of the bed, "Yes, ma'am." He leans down and kisses my cheek then leaves the room.

I zip up my suitcase and move it over to where Tyler's suitcase is sitting. I go into Cam's room to check on how the boys are doing.

"Did I remember everything?" I ask as I watch Tyler zip up the suitcase.

"Everything. Is your bag good to go?" He looks up from the suitcase and asks.

I nod my head and say, "Yeah, I put it next to yours in our room."

"Perfect. I'm going to grab the bags and take them to the car so we won't have to worry about it in the morning." He says as he walks past me and into our bedroom.

I sit on Cam's bed with him and ask, "Are you excited, bug?"

He shakes his head violently, "Oh yeah! Tyler said we're going to see turtles!"

I furrow my brows in confusion, "Turtles?"

Cameron nods his head, "Yep! He said we're going to swim with them!"

I think about what Cam just said and try to narrow down what location might have a place for us to swim with turtles. It's not very easy to think about when Cameron and I have only ever been to California and Tennessee. Maybe Florida? People go to Florida all the time. Maybe that's where he's taking us. As I try to solve this mystery, I look out Cameron's window and notice that it's starting to get dark. I check the watch on my wrist. 7:33 P.M.

"Alright, kiddo. I know it's earlier than usual, but it's time to get ready for bed. We have to get up really early in the morning. Let's get your pajamas on." I say as I walk over to his dresser and get a pair of pajamas out.

He throws his pajamas on and starts to run out of the room. I shouted after him, "Hey, mister. Where are you going?"

He pokes his head back in the door frame, "I'm going to say goodnight to daddy Tyler!"

Tyler comes down the hallway and says, "I'm coming, little dude."

Tyler picks Cameron up and tosses him over his shoulder, tickling his sides over and over again. Cameron laughs uncontrollably, kicking his feet and flailing his arms around.

"I can't breathe! Mama, help!" Cameron screams in between laughs.

I laugh at the two of them and watch Tyler throw Cameron onto his bed, "Goodnight, little man. I'll see you in the morning, okay?"

Cameron grabs Tyler's hand and says, "Wait! Will you read with us tonight?"

Tyler glances at me, as if he was asking for permission, "That's up to your mama."
