**Audri’s POV**
I sighed once the call went black and I opened up Google Chrome. I went onto Youtube and listened to my One Direction playlist. Well, since my favorite cousin is in the band, I must be a fan, right? Right.
Sometimes I find it weird that after almost two years I’ve never met the other boys, but I’m fine with it. Liam told me that I’ll meet them eventually, so whenever I do… that’s great. I sighed, tugging a coat onto my body and slipping a pair of shoes on and leaving my room.
I skipped down the stairs, pausing when I got to the bottom. I could just… walk once around the block. Maybe if I take long enough I’ll miss dinner and tell my parents I went out? “I’m going out with Lil.” I called out to them, biting my lip. I grabbed my phone, and texted Lil to let her know that if my parents call wondering where we are that we’re out to dinner somewhere. She never approves, but she goes along with it, usually.
I left my house and took an immediate right. I walked the short distance to the nearest park and went to the back of it, taking a path through the woods. I know this isn’t the best idea. I mean, what better place to pick on me than in the woods out of prying eyes? But there’s this one place… it’s my safe haven.
It took about half an hour, but I finally got there and smiled to myself as I looked over the ocean. I live in Maine. Not even close to the big city, but in a small town. Right along the ocean.
Where I am now, is a cliff. It over looks the Atlantic Oean, and it’s gorgeous. I’ve never run into anyone here, ever since my dad brought me out here when I was 6. I’ve been comming here ever since. Just to get away from everyone and everything.
A few days went by, and the weekend was gone as soon as it came. I was back at school, being picked on again. I went to my classes and did my work as usual, and I sat with Lil at lunch and, just like always, my money was stolen from me so I didn’t get a lunch. Lil always brought extra backup money for me, but I never used it. I’m just… I’m just not hungry, really.
“You need something in you,” Lil would say to me, and just to get her off my back, I’d eat a tater tot, or a carrot. Just something small to keep me going.
I walked home, and felt weaker than usual. I wobbled a bit as I walked and shook my head, trying to make sense of the things around me. Okay, Audri. You can do this. I continued to walk, just one foot in front of the other, Audri. Don’t fall. I turned when I had to and eventually made it to my house in one piece.
I walked in to find that my dad had left for work already, but my mom works from home. I walked into the kitchen and knew what I needed, no matter how much I wanted to… I can’t. I can’t die. I can’t… not here, not now. I rummaged through the cabinets. “Audri?” I mom’s voice called. “K-Kitchen.” I said, but it came out softer that I’d hoped.
Everything got more fuzzy and I squinted, trying to see more. I felt as if I were swaying and looked down to see that I was. As soon as I looked down I got even more dizzy and felt my body falling. Before I hit the ground, everything went black.
