Kie's POV:

I had been doing my classes for three weeks and I missed my friends so much. Of course, Dylan was in a few of my classes. He was the last person that so wanted to see.

"Hey Kiara" He said sitting next to me

"Hi" I said not looking at him

Class started and of course, we were assigned partners for the whole semester and mine was Dylan. He looked at me and said, "This is going to be fun"

"I have a boyfriend" I replied

"Yeah, and he's a fucking loser"

"He's better than you" I said walking away from Dylan

I facetimed JJ to tell him about Dylan being in my classes and how annoying he was because I didn't want him to think something else was happening. He called me every night and we talked. It was super sweet.

I was in a house this year with my roommates which was so nice to have my own room. It allowed me and JJ to talk a lot more and I didn't have to worry about my roommate.

He finally picked up the phone and he looked really stressed.

"What's wrong?" I asked concerned and a million things popped into my head

"Nothing, I'm fine" He lied

"J, I know you're lying and if you don't tell me I will fly to OBX to figure it out myself"

He stayed quiet and he said, "Honestly, I could really use a hug from my girlfriend"

I heard him say that and I wanted to cry and he said, "It wasn't Luke, so don't freak out about that. I've just been so busy with work and hanging out with the pogues that I haven't gotten much sleep"

"I'm sorry, JJ... I wish I was there right now. I hate this long-distance thing"

"Hey, don't cry. It will all be worth it a year from now" He said seeing the tears form in my eyes

We talked for two hours and I totally forgot to tell him about Dylan. It never came up. He was super anxious and stressed and I was worried about him. His work party was this weekend. I texted his boss's wife and asked if he was still going and she said yes and gave me details. This year the party was a few hours away in Virginia.

They were staying at some old estate in the country. It was gorgeous. It was a famous old mansion they were staying in. I booked a plane ticket and went shopping for the event. My roommate, Grace came with me. Keeping this a surprise was the hardest part. Once I finally made it to Virginia and to the location of the event, I had to surprise JJ.

His boss was with him now and his wife got me into JJ's room. I decided to have a little fun. Since I was in my travel outfit which was not cute at all, I took it off and crawled into the sheets of the bed so I was completely naked.

The plan was to have his boss send JJ up to his room to get something for him. I was so nervous but excited. I could hear JJ unlocking the door and my heart was racing. He opened the door and he saw me there. He quickly shut the door and said, "Holy shit, I was not expecting to see you. I love you"

He slipped his shoes off at the same time he took his shirt off and then he was pulling his pants off as he kissed me. We were making out in bed and we wasted no time. After he was getting dressed and he asked, "How did you pull this off?"

"Your boss and his wife" I smiled

I got out of bed and went into my suitcase and pulled out a sundress. I got dressed and fixed my hair quickly and JJ and I were about to leave the room when he kissed me again and said, "I've missed you so much. Thank you for surprising me"

"I needed to see you. I missed you too" I said as we went back to the little social hour they were having with appetizers and wine as it was a vineyard

Tonight, we were making our own wine. Tomorrow they were taking us on a horseback ride and then there was the fancy dinner. Sunday morning, I had to get back to the airport to fly back to school.

I hung out with JJ and we really didn't know the others there as it was a big company and they are from all over, not just the OBX location.

Wine making was pretty fun but the horseback ride through the vineyard was my favorite. It was a few hours long and it was gorgeous.

Tonight, we had a fancy dinner. JJ was in a suit and i was in a long dress. JJ looked at me and said, "You're so beautiful"

The weekend went by way too fast and I didn't want to leave but I was so happy that I was able to spend the weekend with my boyfriend. We got so many cute pictures.

A week later, I was busy in school and Dylan and I had been texting about ideas for our project and he seemed much better. By that, I mean he wasn't acting like such an asshole.

I had been in school for a month now and the pogues were now heading back to school too. It was a Friday night and since I did a summer semester, I had finished my finals today but I had until tomorrow morning to get my final project done with Dylan. So we basically had to pull an all-nighter to get the project done.

Our house was always so freaking hot so I was in a crop top and a pair of comfy shorts. I was laying on my bed and Dylan and was too with a computer between us as we worked on the project. We both hated this class and we were laughing and actually having fun.

"I can't wait to be done with this project"

"Same. This class is fucking ridiculous" He replied to me

Dylan had been so much better since the first time we talked. He knew I had a boyfriend and we were kinda friends now. It was around two in the morning and since we had finals all week and it was late, we were to the point where everything was funny. We were both laughing when suddenly my bedroom door opened and there stood my boyfriend. He had the biggest smile on his face and it just faded so fast.
