A WEEK HAD ALREADY PASSED. Kaveh and I kept meeting each other calling it dates, while the true intention was to discuss matters that concerned him. Although the progress was slow, he was making a little improvement in recovering from his artist's block.
Every single objective had to be told to him in such detailed manner for him to understand and process. If I were to give him a theme to build a structure on without proper details, in the given situation, he would instantly panic and throw a tantrum.
Yelan was not wrong about our energies being the same as I would do that same as well
Currently he sat before me, drawing down a structure that would be suitable for the growth of plants as well as allow people to live in there without suffocating. Plants would have a higher requirement of oxygen during night, which causes the suffocation.
Thirty minutes had already passed but he was stuck again. He couldn't draw a proper ventilation system to prevent the suffocation and the structure would heat up too much.
"Hmmm, I think you're doing well! One week and you've made this much progress. I'm surprised." I said as I looked at the structure. Indeed physically, the structural drawing seemed more rigid and realistic unlike the earlier times. It was more of a modern architecture.
"Have I now...Despite that little improvement, I feel a little disappointed of myself." Kaveh said as he sighed heavily, placing his drawing pencil down and staring at the ventilation system he drew up.
I looked at them along with him and quickly found a solution to it while he kept giving it non-stop stares.
I pointed my finger at the mistake, which diverted his attention towards it. He looked at and left an 'oh.'
Seeing his surprised expression always made me laugh at him. Even the greatest architects of the world can be quite pathetic and hopeless at times. He was no different, even if his pride was a little high.
"Y/n! Mr. Kaveh your food is here!" Xiangling said as she brought a plate of jade parcels and Lotus flower crisp for Kaveh. She came by our table and placed them down. Guoba walked in bringing a bowl of salad for after food.
"Alright Alright, I'll fix the sketches up after food. I cannot work on an empty stomach and you should really stop making fun of me like that." Kaveh said that as he neatly stacked the papers on which he was drawing and set them aside.
"What can I say, the way you miss out tiny details so easily then struggle to find them back again makes me want to laugh. You look like a little child trying to solve a puzzle while you're at it.
"You're not helping at all." Kaveh said as he grabbed his cutlery to eat his lotus flower crisp. Right as he was about to dig in, I had an evil idea.
"Mr. Kaveh, don't you think it's inappropriate to use foreign cutlery to eat traditional Liyue dishes? Here have these chopsticks." I handed him over the two wooden sticks.
He held it in his palm for a while and stared at it blankly.
I was smiling sheepishly until he chuckled. "Sure thing. I can eat with them." Kaveh said as he placed his other two cutlery away and began eating with chopsticks efficiently.
He held the chopsticks very professionally which completely amazed me as foreigners never really knew how to use them— Unless that was limited to Mr. Zhongli's boyfriend alone....
"W-WHAT? You know HOW to use them?" I asked almost leaping out of my seat. He was smiling "Try teasing someone else next time, besides me."
I sigh in defeat and pick my chopsticks up to eat my Jade Parcels. Kaveh suddenly asked me a question.
"Y/n, have you ever heard of the mysterious chief architect of the Jade Chamber?" He asked as he played around with his food using his chopsticks.
I suddenly choked on the Jade parcel and began coughing. Kaveh panicked a bit and handed a glass of water.
"W-..Why would you ask me..that?" I managed to ask as I tried to catch my breath.
"I'm curious. No one knows who they are yet they have accomplished such a great achievement. A structure that can withstand turbulence of the weather and remain aloft in the air without any hindrances. "
I took a moment and noticed the excitement and fascination he had on his face. His face beamed up with happiness, while he talked about a person he never ever met with.
My curiosity again began growing. I wanted to know if he really looked up to me just like how his words sounded.
"I can't say I don't know...but for reasons, they must remain anonymous. If you'd like Kaveh, I could pass some letters to them for you." I say as I wiped my lips with a tissue.
"Really? That'll be really helpful of you. I'll have the letter handed in later but thank you Y/n, for helping me." Kaveh said with a smile.
"Your welcome." that was all I could mutter. Was he really someone who I could trust? Who I could believe in? Someone who could protect my identity and not use me?
All these questions lingered in my head as I ate my Jade Parcels, looking at the man before me occasionally.
