12. Grudges From The Past.

"GOOD MORNING, KAVEH." I greeted the blonde man as he was walking over, yawning and stretching. 

"Good morning..." He said in a low voice almost as if he hadn't slept the entire night.

"What brings you here? Another coincidental meeting between us or is there something you need?" I said as I looked away from him and stared at the bustling dockyards filled with merchants and importers.

"A coincidental meeting. I came out for a stroll, I happen to run into you." He said as he walked by over the bridge, which startled the pigeons that sat there.

We currently stood over the bridge that connected Chihua Rock and Liyue City. It was a fine spot that gave a beautiful view of the vast ocean and the view of the harbor. I had some work within the area to investigate matters for Yelan.

Right as I arrived to monitor a bunch of illegal traders around the dockyards from the top, I ran into Kaveh who seemed to be on a stroll too.

"Oh? Looking for inspiration are you?" I asked with a grin, looking at the illegal traders walk around, talking with their partners in crime. You also noticed Yelan's sidekicks—Wenyuan and Wupei, following the targets from back.

"I wouldn't call this, looking for inspiration but rather, to have some more space to breath." He said as he placed his hands on his hip.

"Space? Are you living in a congested apartment?" You ask as you gave him a glance for a moment.

"Of course not. It's just that my fellow roommate back in Sumeru keeps sending me receipts of the transactions I had conducted from his account. He should realize that sending me these receipts wouldn't change a single matter." Kaveh said as he scoffed in annoyance. 

"Well, it's his money after all, I cannot have a say in the matter. It's a great thing he's sharing with you already despite being a scholar at Akademiya too." I said back as I looked at him. 

He seemed annoyed by the matter slightly but didn't choose to show it out.On second thoughts, he rather looked like a child. Adorable. 

"Scholar? Look Y/n, he's the ACTING GRAND SAGE of the Akademiya. People say nothing can be achieved overnight but I was gone for ONE SINGLE DAY and the next I return to know he's the Grand Sage of Akademiya."
