The nurse has sent Rose and Jay both home. Rose didn't care that she was going to Jay's place.
Honestly. She was thankful, because she was scared and still felt weak.
When they got to Jay's place she saw it wasn't so big, although it looked real fancy.
It had black and grey marbled walls. An open plan kitchen and living room. Two bedrooms, a bathroom and a smaller room which Rose assumes is his study area.
Jay have carried Rose inside and placed her on the couch. She still felt weak and didn't have the energy to walk.
While Rose was cuddled up in a bundle on the couch, Jay went to go get her a blanket.
"How you feeling?" He asks her while throwing the blanket over her and tucking her in.
"I dont know, better?" She says not really sure herself.
There was silence for a bit before Rose spoke up again.
"Your place seems cozy." Rose said softly and Jay smiled.
"Thanks. I don't like big places. Small is good enough." He says.
"Why are you helping me?" Rose suddenly ask while Jay stares into her eyes.
"Because you mean something to me." He says.
Rose felt butterflies erupt in her stomach. She thought that he was just like the rest, but he really can't be.
Rose knew she was getting attached to him. She trusts him already and they only met today.
"I'm sorry that I lied to the nurse and the teacher." He says and she shakes her head.
"Please, don't be. I appreciate that you did." She says smiling.
Jay can't stop thinking about what the teacher told him. Does her family really not care about her at all? How? She's so perfect.
He liked everything about her. Her hair, her smile, her eyes, her nose, her ears, but mostly her personality.
"I'm tired." She says moving closer to Jay.
"You want to sleep?" He asks her and she nods.
"Okay, I got a spare bedroom where you can sleep." He says and she giggles.
Jay picks her up and carry her to the guest room. He tucks her in and switches off the bedroom light.
"Just scream if you need anything." Jay says and she frowns.
"What?" He asks
"Why would I scream?"
"Well, if you shout I would think you're pissed at me." He chuckles.
"Fine." She says rolling her eyes.
"But I'm serious. Call if you need anything." He says.
He walkes out and closes the door behind him.
Rose is staring at the ceiling and honestly, she feels like it's easy to be open towards him.
He saw her cry. Not even her best friend saw her crying before.
She feels comfortable around him. Like, she looked at her worst, but he still didn't care about the way she looks. He saved her. He was there for her.
After a lot of thinking about Jay, Rose fell asleep.
Jay has checked up on her every now and then to see if she's still okay.
He wanted her to be safe. Happy. Loved.
